[M4AF] An Arranged Marriage (Valiea)

2020.09.22 09:59 Jackygold [M4AF] An Arranged Marriage (Valiea)

The world of Valiea is a project I've been working on for over a year now, however, I have mostly been working on the map including a continental map, city map, climate, and country map.

This is a repost of my first post as I changed quite a bit around and reworked new flags/family lines.

About the world:

The world of Valiea is a modern world in which kingdoms still continue to rule. There are no democracies, there are only monarchies. These kingdoms include:
Odesh Sultanate
A middle-eastern styled kingdom set at the southern tip of the continent of Hilix. Odesh Sultanate is a mostly desert landscape with Mediterranean conditions near the coastal areas. Their culture is rich in a nomadic and religious lifestyle. The ruling family in Odesh (The Azzaam Dynasty) has strong control over the riches of the land, making its cities oases in the desert. The leader of the Odesh, Sultan Azzaam, is known for his lavish lifestyle and the trade negotiations with the other kingdoms.
The Kingdom of Spana
A very diverse culture, the Kingdom of Spana is rich in farming and technology. The Gendarmerie, the military, runs the Law Enforcement within Spana and Spana is know for its militaristic society. Spana has been modeled after Spain and Italy, making it rich in culture and food. The Kingdom of Spana is just in the Northern region of Hilix. The ruling family in Spana (The Moya family) is known for their strict way of life to the old ways. This includes political prosecution of those who they deem sinful.
The Esparian Empire
The Esparian Empire is the largest of the kingdoms and has been modeled after an English/Slavic lifestyle. The Esparian Empire owns the entire continent of Eplix and Efla as well as having the continent of Emiukai (Oshwa) as a colony. The Esparians are known for their rich culture through the arts and their need for trade. The Esparian Empire is too a militaristic society with much of its Law Enforcement or jobs in general being military-related. The Esparian Empire's citizens see the royal family as gods, however, not all see it this way, especially those in the Oshwa Colony. The harsh treatment of the Oshwan people (having taken the island by force) has caused some to view the king, King Maddox the 3rd, to be a harsh dictator, causing some to form rebellion groups, however, these forces are typically crushed by the might of the Esparian Empire.
The former Oshwa Empire (Oshwan Colony)
Oshwa, a once proud and strong people inspired by Japan, Korea, China, and Vietnam, have since fallen under the rule of the Esparian Empire. The Oshwans are a diverse group with some having grown up in the vast Yaguchi mountain range, forming a mountain culture and others growing up near the coast and forming fishing societies which harvest the Croydes Ocean for its vast amount of fish. Its Capital, Kaeyong, is perhaps one of the oldest cities in Valiea and was the first to fall during the Esparian-Oshwan War. Oshwa is perhaps one of the oldest civilizations as well, having gone through many dynasties on and off over the course of 3,500 years. Its former and last Emperor, Emperor Ozaki Tadasuke was the one to sign the unconditional surrender to the Esparians. There is still much debate by the Oshwans as to why it was signed as King Maddox the 3rd was not present at the signing nor was on the continent and as to why Emperor Tadasuke would sign such a document without the presence of the ruling party. Many see this as a great deal of disrespect by the Esparians and is still a widely heated topic amongst the Oshwans still to this day.

The Setting and Plot:

The year is 2865 and with the recent conflict having ended between the Kingdom of Oshwa and the Esparian Empire tensions have to begun to simmer down across the world.
Set within this world are the Ordinals, the protectors of the Royal family and defenders of Esparia.
From birth and seized by the state, these children are raised with complete loyalty to Esparia, her people, and the Royal Family. From the age of five, they begin their training and are assigned a number. Children who do not make the cut or are seen as unworthy are discarded. Those who do continue their training are placed into their final series of tests. Each child is hunted down and expected to use their training to avoid capture. If captured, the are subsequently killed by their pursuers.
From the age of 14, an oath is given and taken.
From first breath and to my last, I will be in service to Esparia. I will serve her people and the Royal family. Every step I take shall carry purpose and shall strengthen my resolve. I will not feel, I will absorb nothing, and I will not break. I will never know love, but only love of country, and I will not bare children. My soul, body, and mind will be of forfeit to Esparia and her people. I shall be the protector of Esparia and the bringer order. To all of this swear and shall my soul be tortured for eternity if I fail in my task.
Their bodies are modified to be better at various type of combat and to enhanced their muscular structure.
The armor they bare is created at the end of their training once they have proven themselves and obtained ordination. Each piece is carefully crafted and said to be created with resources from each part ot Esparia.
Never to remove their helmets or armor outside the presence of each other, they remain faceless to those who see them guarding the various royal estates and Grand Palace around Esparia.

2020.09.21 18:00 EmpireOfChairs Capstone for Part 3: Gravity's Rainbow

Hello, everybody! It’s finally time to leave the Zone!
Can you believe that you haven’t even gotten to the most difficult part of the novel yet?
Anyway, I’ve included a massive plot summary here, because the last capstone had one, but this is only for the benefit of new and future readers who are struggling to make sense of the plot threads, and it doesn’t contain any real analysis. If you feel like you understood the gist of what happened already, then feel free to skip it. I am hoping that this summary will elucidate this part of the novel for those who are having trouble following the narrative but still want the opportunity to come to their own conclusions about what it all means.
Throughout In the Zone, I found my real life suddenly full of random obstacles that meant that I couldn’t contribute to as many threads as I would have liked. I would read those other threads and find that things which had fascinated me were either being ignored wholesale or else (I felt) misinterpreted in the comments. As such, I would like to give my thoughts on them here and now, before we leave the Zone and the opportunity to discuss these things is lost.
However, because the plot of In the Zone is so damn long, I’ve decided to do things a little bit differently: I’m going to use this main thread for the summary, and then I’m going to write individual comments on the various parts of In the Zone which I think deserve more analysis before we move on to The Counterforce. The parts I will be analysing will be titled Bianca, Enzian, and The Castle, with associated page numbers based around the 902-page Vintage edition.
Plot Summary:
As you would imagine, I can’t put a lot of detail into a brief summary of what would, on its own, still represent a fairly long novel. I’d like to apologise in advance if I happen to miss anything important, story-wise.
In the Zone opens with Slothrop in his new secret identity as British journalist Ian Scuffling, travelling by train trough the remnants of post-war Germany, the Zone, where he shall remain for most of the book. He meets a racist, jingoistic military man named Major Duane Marvy, who is promptly thrown off the train by a mysterious African ‘rocket-trooper’ named Orbst Enzian. Wandering through the Zone, Slothrop encounters Geli Tripping, a witch with an owl who reveals herself to be the lover of a murderous Soviet cyborg named Tchitcherine, who is involved with finding the Schwarzgerät; a one-of-a-kind V-2 rocket. Having apparently escaped Them, finding out what happened to this rocket then becomes the primary goal of Slothrop – his new epic quest.
Slothrop attempts to infiltrate the Mittelwerke, a vast SS-shaped underground tunnel complex, used by the Nazis to create V-2 rockets using slave-labourers from the nearby Dora concentration camp. He finds the place invaded by Marvy’s army, and the Russians – who both decide to murder Slothrop for discovering what seems to be… an ongoing operation? After his escape, Slothrop finds himself escaping to Berlin via hot-air balloon, only to be hunted by Marvy’s boys once more, but luckily the balloon is filled with custard pies, which are then thrown into the engine of Marvy’s aircraft, presumably killing most of them.
We come to learn more about Enzian, who turns out to have lived previously as a sex-slave to Weissman, a high-ranking German officer who participated in the Herero genocide that wiped out Enzian’s family. As time progressed, Enzian became Weissman’s Monster – the sinister, black right-hand man during his master’s involvement with the development of the V-2 rocket and the mysterious Schwarzgerät. In the Zone, with Weissman’s disappearance, Enzian has taken on a new, commanding role as the leader of the Schwarzkommando – a paramilitary death-cult made up of members of the Erdschweinhöhle (the death-obsessed Herero-survivors scattered throughout various communities in Nordhausen), who have made it their goal to find the Schwarzgerät. He even gets his own right-hand man in the form of the radio-enthusiast Andreas Orukambe. Among the Schwarzkommando, however, there is disagreement – some, like Enzian, believe in the destiny of destruction promised by the Rocket, whilst others, such as Ombindi of the Empty Ones, wish to initiate their own form of ‘racial suicide’, which uses sexual deviancy to ensure a negative birth-rate, which is seen as a triumph of material pleasure over the European ideals of Christian asceticism and death-worship.
Because of his quest to discover the Schwarzgerät, he is by default the arch-nemesis of Tchitcherine. Tchitcherine, we find out, is the long-lost half-brother of Enzian, their father having had a steamy affair with a Herero girl whilst in the midst of deserting the Russo-Japanese War. He grows up into a high-ranking agent of the Leninist Soviet regime, being principally tasked with giving the native people of Kyrgyzstan a new language (the New Turkic Alphabet), which isn’t historically accurate, by the way. During an uprising against conscription in 1916, thousands of native Kazakhs were killed, in an event which Tchitcherine refers to as the Kirghiz Light, which loses him his cosy, bureaucratic job. He is haunted by this light, which he sees as an illumination, a transcendent moment in which he saw the force behind it all. Sent out to the Zone, Tchitcherine has quickly adopted the new role of Rocket-fanatic, believing (like Enzian) that there is a spiritual force to be revealed to him in the Schwarzgerät. He is not entirely sure why his superiors sent him to the Zone, but he is absolutely convinced that it somehow involves Enzian and the Schwarzkommando.
Back to Slothrop, who briefly runs into Enzian again, only to be told, rather ominously, that reality is not real. Enzian, indeed, seems to treat his existence as though they were all conjured into being by some director or writer-God, and that all they can do is follow a pre-determined path to His ending. Weird. Anyway, Slothrop then meets Säure Bummer, the coolest man in the Zone – a proto-hippie drug dealer and money-counterfeiter, who suggests that Slothrop take on the superhero identity of Rocketman (which he does) and then advises him to travel to a bar to meet a contact (Seaman Bodine, the foul-mouthed sailor) who will show Slothrop the way to the Schwarzgerät in exchange for picking up a massive shipment of marijuana – located in the centre of the Potsdam conference. He is then to return with the product, which will be given to an influential Zone personality called der Springer, who will know Slothrop is cool because Säure has given him a chess-piece (a white knight) with which to identify himself. With this potential reward, along with part of the score and one million fake marks, Slothrop decides to haul ass to the conference. He invents another disguise (Max Schelpzig, the name on the fake ID which brought him to Europe in the first place) and sets forth, first by taking a boat into the Russian sector and then running on foot through an Autobahn, jumping the barricade into Potsdam. He gets the dope eventually, after a few awkward encounters with politicians and a few epic stealth moves, and then returns to his boat, where he is then drugged and dragged away, unconscious. Turns out, Tchitcherine has been watching him the whole time, and has just drugged him with the truth-serum/LSD stand-in Sodium Amytal.). He then tries out a huge chunk of Slothrop’s product with his right-hand man, Dzaqyp Qulan, and dumps Slothrop in an abandoned film studio. Waking up, Slothrop encounters Greta Erdmann, a pre-war pornographic actress, who is searching the studio in the hopes of finding her daughter, Bianca, who was conceived at this very studio, with a man named Max Schelpzig, during the filming of German director der Springer’s movie Alpdrücken. Slothrop confides that he isn’t so sure that he’s not in a movie right now.
Meanwhile, the Argentinian anarchists of Squalidozzi find themselves in a submarine, longing for the Zone to become a permanently decentralised monument to the freedom of the individual, in stark contrast from what is happening back home, in their native Buenos Aires. They believe in the power of art to inspire revolution, and desire to work with der Springer to create a film version of Martin Fierro which will force their revolution into existence – just as his propaganda films seemed to will the Schwarzkommando into existence.
Quite the opposite kind of person is then introduced to us: Franz Pökler, a Nazi engineer who worked on the V-2 rocket and the Schwarzgerät under the command of Weissman (now calling himself Captain Blicero). Pynchon shows us basically all of Pökler’s adult life, in a non-linear order. What happens, in short, is this: Pökler is inspired to become a rocket-engineer after taking university lectures in chemistry via Laszlo Jamf, the Pavlovian who somehow conditioned Slothrop as a baby to get erections during V-2 rocket strikes, decades before the V-2 was invented. He marries Leni Pökler, a communist reactionary who will drift apart from him as Weimar Germany becomes the hotseat for a new form of Evil. After watching the late-night premiere of Alpdrücken, Pökler runs home and impregnates Leni with their only child, Ilse. Raising her, he feels compelled to instil within her a desire to travel to the Moon, which is handily reinforced with frequent visits to Zwölfkinder, an amusement park run entirely by children. With Leni gone, Pökler falls deep into his work for the Nazis. As time goes on, he begins to question the nature of his work – is what he is doing just as Evil as what They are doing? Blicero and the other higher-ups catch wind of this, and, to prevent sabotage, Ilse is removed from Pökler’s life. He realises that bringing up the topic will result in termination, possibly of his life, and so he keeps on with the rocket work. He then sees Ilse again, delivered to him at his office without a note, and is advised to go to Zwölfkinder with her, which he does. She disappears the next day. This happens year after year on the same day, with Pökler gradually developing a harrowing fear that she died in the first year, and was replaced by a similar-looking girl. On their final visit to Zwölfkinder, after the Nazi defeat, they find the park empty, and ‘Ilse’ no longer likes the Moon. She tells him that they will no meet again. He returns to the office to find that it has been bombed to smithereens – interesting, isn’t it, how this just so happened to occur on the same day that Pökler goes on his holiday? Bewildered, Pökler travels to the location that Ilse and Leni were supposedly being held, only to find himself in the middle of the Dora concentration camp.
We then encounter the quick story of Horst Achtfaden, another Nazi engineer who, whilst on-board a possibly imaginary “Toiletship” vessel, is captured by Enzian and the Schwarzkommando, who demand that he reveal to them the location of the Schwarzgerät. Deciding that the entire War was just a big joke and that it definitely isn’t worth dying for, he claims that he has no idea what they are talking about, but that there was a colleague named Narrisch who worked directly on the project, so maybe bother him instead.
Back to Slothrop, who is now following the slightly unhinged Greta Erdmann’s lead as she follows a hunch that she hopes will lead straight to Bianca. This leads to a coastal town near the Lüneberg Heath, where the glimpse of a shrouded figure in the mist sends Greta into hysterics before it disappears. As evening approaches, a party-boat named the Anubis drifts by the coast. Upon seeing it, Greta becomes convinced that Bianca is on-board, and jumps into the water after it. Slothrop swims after her, losing his entire Rocketman costume to the sea as he does so. He discovers that the ship is a massive upper-class, elite society orgy vessel - people are indulging in the most depraved sexual acts he has ever seen, all the time, all over the place. And as the night wades on, the centrepiece of this orgy commences – a young girl (Bianca) performs half of a Shirley Temple routine before being publicly humiliated and whipped by Erdmann, her mother. The following morning, Bianca enters Slothrop’s room and the two have sex. Later, a Japanese people-watcher named Ensign Morituri, who lived on the same coastal town that Slothrop was at when they saw the Anubis, relates the horrible truth of Erdmann’s past life. In the lead-up to her time with Slothrop, Erdmann, a fellow native of the town, had gradually gone insane with her partner Gerhardt von Goll, believing herself (for some reason) to be part-Jewish. As some sort of psychotic payback against the Nazis, she began dressing in a shroud and luring the local children out to the swamps, where she would role-play with them (her as Nazi, child as Jew) before drowning them. The figure Erdmann saw earlier is revealed to be a grown-up version of one of the few survivors of her serial-killings – a survivor only because Morituri was there to stop her.
Later, Slothrop endeavours to find Erdmann after she locks herself in her room out of guilt. However, she reveals that her guilt is out of a completely unrelated event – during her time at the Heath, she became the sexual associate of Captain Blicero, who is revealed to have gone insane whilst pursuing some kind of apocalyptic project with a sex-slave (a young boy named Gottfried, who has mysteriously disappeared…) and has now come to see himself as a mythic figure in a fantasy world, running through a different version of Germany from everyone else. During her career as a sex-icon, Blicero took Greta to a remote room in a petrochemical plant, filled with politicians and business tycoons, who introduced her to clothing made entirely out of a new form of plastic – she finds it so stimulating that she wanted to immediate get down and dirty with those around her, but was just as quickly led out of the room again, and, over time, left with a growing concern that she witnessed the birth of something too horrible to really get to the bottom of.
Shortly after this encounter, a major storm hits the Anubis, and many of the passengers, including Slothrop, find themselves thrown head-first into the Sea. Slothrop seems content that the ‘Fascist cargo’ of the ship will soon drown to death. Of course, he is not included – he is soon picked up by an illegal smuggler and sweet old lady called Frau Gnahb, who travels with her young descendant Otto. Reaching land the following morning, Slothrop quickly finds a white-suited man calling himself der Springer, who (after Slothrop shows him Säure’s chess-piece) reveals himself to be none other than Gerhardt von Goll. He is travelling with his friend, an ex-scientist named Narrisch. They all then hop on-board to journey to Peenemunde, where von Goll is immediately arrested by Russian authorities. Narrisch, angered by the whole thing, then forces Slothrop to accompany him as they do another deep-cover infiltration, this time of the Tchitcherine’s military base where they are keeping von Goll. Freeing von Goll, who is on Sodium Amytal, Slothrop finds himself kocking a guard unconscious and taking his uniform. Then, Slothrop and Narrisch run into Tchitcherine and Qulan, where they all get very confused about the uniforms, thus buying enough time for von Goll’s escape. Narrisch then decides to stay behind to fight off the Russians, to allow Frau Gnahb and the gang to get away safely.
Then, to Slothrop’s horror, they once more find the Anubis, where Slothrop is told that he will find his stash to give to von Goll in the engine room. Going on-board, he finds that no-one on the ship remembers or recognises him at all. He gets to the engine room, where the lights go out completely, and voices proceed to taunt and beat him. Frightened, he looks up to find the corpse of Bianca hanging from a noose, just above the stash. He gets it and runs, finding invisible hands grabbing his own as he tries to climb the ladder out of there.
Meanwhile, two older characters, Katje and Pirate, find themselves entwined with a counter-revolutionary force after the destruction of the White Visitation. Katje discovers a film by Osbie Feel which seems to reveal to her the whole Plan and how to combat it, whilst Pirate, on the other hand, has a psychic vision in which he discovers that people of those whom he had trusted are actually parts of Them, and, what’s worse, They know that he is watching them. Both Katje and Pirate begin to form a vague hope of something that can defeat Them, some kind of Counterforce…
Wandering homeless around the Zone again, Slothrop begins to wonder about his own family history, and the environmental damage wrought by his family’s paper company. Furthermore, he thinks back to his first American ancestor, William Slothrop, a pig-loving anti-establishment figure whose political pamphlet was burned on-masse by the Elite, and was then forced to return, defeated, to England. Slothrop once more meets both Marvy and the Schwarzkommando, neither of whom recognise him in the Russian uniform. We soon find out that Marvy is now in league with the Soviets, who have been extracting information about the Schwarzgerät from Narrisch and selling it back to Marvy. While this is going on, Slothrop finds Cuxhaven, where the local children ask him to become their mythical pig-hero, Plechazunga, as part of a pagan festival. Crashed by the cops, Slothrop takes refuge with a teenage girl, who wishes to escape with him, but refuses to leave when the time comes. Slothrop, on the road again, finds a slightly mad German child who demands that Slothrop help him find his lemming, which they fail to do, but Slothrop himself finds a pig, who accompanies him on his journey, which is interrupted by one evening in which Slothrop finds a fellow homeless wanderer named Franz Pökler, who he finds strangely relatable.
Meanwhile, we get to hear about Lyle Bland. Bland was a member of the Masons, though he did not care about the society in the same way that the other Masons seemed to. However, as time went on, he felt that he understood their rites and rituals in a way that the real members never did. He became connected to arcane magickal forces, creating nightly out-of-body experiences, saying on his deathbed that he would choose that night to break through to the Other Side and achieve transcendence. Bland’s life prior to this event was a mish-mash of government deals with mobsters, with the conniving blackmail techniques of intelligence agencies, with the grand conspiracies of international technology tycoons. This last one seems particularly interesting, don’t you think? Bland thinks so too, and he actually has quite a pet passion for a remarkable scheme involving pinball machines that are built to fail – the machines will, in fact, fail immediately after they are fixed. How? Good question.
The final Slothrop scene of In the Zone shows him once more with Bodine, running away from American troops and straight into a mansion which happens to be hosting the party of the century. Ditching his pig-costume in a closet, he takes up in a bedroom with a prostitute named Solange, who is actually Leni Pökler in a new identity. Meanwhile, Bodine runs into Major Marvy, who is here to have sex with a minority so that he can live out a racist power-fantasy. Bodine gives Marvy a vial of cocaine, which Marvy then stashes into his jacket. Later, the mansion is raided by American troops – Marvy, having sex with a minority, freaks it because of the coke he left in his pocket, runs to the closet to find the jacket, only to discover that his whole uniform is missing – the only outfit he can put on to escape is some sort of pig costume. The American troops then find him, ask him if he is Tyrone Slothrop, which Marvy agrees to, hoping that Slothrop hasn’t done anything too bad. He is then kidnapped and dragged into the woods by Muffage and Spontoon, the two hitmen hired by Pointsmen in a previous part of the book to find Slothrop, who proceed to drug and castrate Marvy.
The final section features Mossmoon and Scammony, two government boys back in England who gossip about Pointsman’s career ruination over the castration of Marvy, and the collapse of the whole Scheme. They uneasily discuss the role of homosexuality in government conspiracies. They reveal, finally, what Slothrop was supposed to do in Their Grand Scheme. He was supposed to begin the extermination of the black race. Oh well, they think. If he can’t do it, They will just have to develop different methods.
In the Zone ends on, or around, August 6th 1945 – the date of the atomic bomb strike on Hiroshima. It is also the celebration the Transfiguration.
Discussion Questions:
· Has it occurred to you that most of the dialogue in these sections would have been spoken in German?
· Why do you think the novel is divided into four parts, and what do you think separates them?
· What do you make of the use of the Wizard of Oz quote that begins this section? Quite interesting, especially considering that this is the only epigram that seems to have no reference point in the actual novel.
· What has changed between the beginning and the end of In the Zone?
· Many have expressed the view that Gravity’s Rainbow is not about WWII at all. In fact, Gravity’s Rainbow is about Vietnam. How do you feel about that interpretation, given the focus on the Zone here? More importantly, what does In the Zone tell us about the world in 1973?
· Do you believe that Gravity’s Rainbow is at all autobiographical?
· Why do you think Slothrop keeps becoming a superhero in these sections? What do superheroes and comic books mean to Pynchon?
· Some people have pointed out, with a particular focus on the episodes in which Slothrop wakes up in the studio and Katje finds Osbie Feel’s movie, that the plot is actually a giant film. How does that strike you, and how do you think that metafiction and the introduction of alternative mediums relates to the themes of In the Zone?
· In the Zone makes up literally half of the book. But why? What’s so important about it that could not expressed elsewhere?
· For that matter, what do you make of the Zone itself? Why do you think he wrote a book around it?
· Does Pynchon evoke the imagery of ghosts, magic, angels, demons, telepathy and other phenomena with genuine sincerity, or are we supposed to take these as metaphors for more grounded events?
· This section is far more epic in scope than the two preceding it. Did you encounter anything cool or interesting that you think we forgot about in the discussion threads?
· What do you make of the Rocket-cartel, and what do think Their grand plan actually is?
· What was your favourite episode of this part? Also, what was your favourite Pynchon-tangent or speech?

2020.09.21 09:36 Jackygold [M4AF] The Modern Kingdom (Valiea)

2020.09.21 04:24 xbgjndoancbak I've been in love with someone for the past 9 months and I don't know if I should just move on.

I (30F) met H (30M) in November 2019. He was completely smitten over me, and finally I realized my feeling a month later and we were together in late December. So many complications happened and we split in May. We planned to go to Vietnam together in March. But Spring triggers me emotionally and it got rough. The love never left but it was just too difficult for both of us.
We started spending time again in June. It was a bit off and on but since July we've spent almost every day together again. It feels so good for both of us.
Act like we're together (no other partners, sleep together, sex, spend time with each others' groups of friends, say we love each other, etc.). We love being together. But H says he "doesn't know if we can do it." He says he loves me and it will just take time. He wants everything to happen organically. I agree completely. But we are basically together anyways so what's the difference?
Look, I'm 30. I'm done with games and guessing. I don't have the time/energy/will power to spend my love on someone who might not want me in the end of all this.
I get that I should just talk to him and get a real solid answer but this is the best I get from him. And I know that if it isn't clear enough for me, then I should just get gone. But he's the most loving, tender, understanding, kind, talented babe I've met.
So... please tell me, am I wasting my time? What have been your experiences with someone you love who won't commit?

2020.09.19 21:57 BennytehBeaver Heart of Evil is rather confusing... Can someone help me?

I've just begun to play through the HL1 modification Heart of Evil, a Resident Evil/Joseph Conrad-inspired affair set in late '60s Vietnam. I knew, going in, that the game would eventually become a survival horror game a la Resident Evil, but I wasn't prepared to be THIS confused whilst playing it!
Your character, Percy Freeman, is unable to do something as simple as use a radio or drive a truck, meaning you must rely on your partner. Sounds typical, but then comes chapter 3 and OH GOOD GRIEF.
I basically run around aimlessly, randomly picking up items that I need to progress. Upon suddenly picking up the rusty key, I go back, pick up the ruby key, use said key, head back to the location where the Rusty key is required, and then BLAM! "Sorry, rusty key doesn't work! You're gonna have to find someone strong enough to bust the door wide open because neither you or even your *love are strong enough!!!!*
...Look, don't get me wrong. Heart of Evil is a fantastic mod, perfectly balancing the Vietnamesque action with the right amount of terror. But I'll be damned if it ISN'T one of the most baffling things in terms of level design and layout, and that I was NEVER prepared (I was expecting They Hunger in Vietnam, but got my ass rightfully kicked). So, with all that said, I have to ask:
Where do I find the required GeeYai? (As the Vietnam residents would say.)

The US Embassy removed Hoang Sa and Truong Sa from the map of Vietnam

The US Embassy removed Hoang Sa and Truong Sa from the map of Vietnam Vietnam (NV) - On September 15, many netizens expressed their dissatisfaction when they discovered that the US Embassy in Hanoi suddenly changed the map of Vietnam without the two Hoang Sa archipelagos. and Truong Sa.
While a day ago, social media raised many comments welcoming the US Embassy posting a map of Vietnam with these two islands.
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the US and the Vietnam Communist Party, on September 8, the US Embassy in Hanoi had an article highlighting important achievements, transforming the former enemy into two " trusted partners in all fields including commerce, education, energy, health, security. In it, there is the slogan "As a reliable partner, we will both prosper in the long term!"
The publication of a map of Vietnam by the US Embassy with the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos was speculated to be a way to let Beijing know that the United States denied its "cow's tongue" sovereignty.
As noted by Facebook, the photo map of Vietnam with two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa was replaced by the admin of the US Embassy in Hanoi fanpage in Hanoi around noon September 15.
To clarify this case, the Vietnamese daily sent an email to Ms. Rachael Chen, the press attaché of the US Ambassador to Vietnam, with questions surrounding changing the image of Vietnam with Hoang Sa and Truong Sa on the fan page. . Ms. Chen then responded in English: “Would you please forward this question to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) ? We recommend sending an email to that inbox for the fastest response. ”
We re-sent the email as requested but by the evening of the same day we have not received a response from the US Embassy.
At the same time, many facebookers have left feedback in the comments below the above post. Among them, Facebooker Hoang Phu asked: “Where is our Paracel Islands - Spratly Islands? (Where's our Hoang Sa, Truong Sa? "
Facebooker Le Lieu Huynh commented:" Why can't you see HS-TS [Hoang Sa, Truong Sa], where is it? "
A facebooker with nick name Tam GV asked a question. : "Why is there a map change with and without the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa of Vietnam? The ambassadors said that it is not Vietnamese, who is it and this is the Is this change having any impact from China or the Viet Cong? "
Many questions with the same content, but people do not see the admin of the fanpage US Embassy in Hanoi answering or explaining the changing of the map Vietnam has two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.
In another development, the public also noticed that the US Embassy in Hanoi did not comment on the Dong Tam trial, under which there were two death sentences and a life sentence for two sons. and grandson Le Dinh Kinh.
As was customary in previous years, after the Vietnamese communist authorities' trials of dissidents or activists, the US Embassy quickly issued a statement expressing concerns about human rights.
According to observers, on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of US-Vietnam diplomatic relations, US diplomatic officials in Vietnam "avoided" mentioning the theme of "human rights" that Hanoi has always considered " sensitive. "

We have finished the Telegram AMA with PCHAIN founder Dr. Jeff Cao on September 16th. Thank you for your participation and support. The following is the summary of the AMA.
Q1: Why PChain has the privilege to access DCEP when it’s still being tested behind closed door? Is it because of Jeff good connections in China?
Jeff: Nothing special. We are just trying different channels
Q2: How far away is PI from getting DCEP license? Is it easy or hard to get this license?
Jeff: It’s still in early stage to talk about license, as DCEP didn’t have formal agenda yet.
Q3: Stani (AAVE CEO) is interested in $Yuan stablecoin. If PI successfully gets the license, is PI planning to work with AAVE to bring $Yuan stablecoins to DeFi?
Jeff: as Q2 answered, it’s too early to talk about license. when DCEP getting clear, we are open to collaborate with any partner who is interesting in this direction.
Q4: The upcoming DCEP application will be public CCC. Will it buy Pi needed for its operation directly from the exchange or will it get it indirectly by paying fiat to Plian?
Jeff: The upcoming CCC is relevant to many participants with big scenario. PI is important in the scenario as it will take the role of gas.
Q5: Will the mobile wallet or an equivalent from Pchain be used for DCEP payment like Alipay? If Yes, how will any benefit from widespread use in China positively affect demand for PI tokens please?
Jeff: We will have mobile wallet as it’s open for testing. When the DCEP become public available, we will integrate it in our mobile wallet.
Q6: When will antchain baidu formally acknowledge pchain p3205 crosschain interoparability collaboration in China news?
Jeff: We dont estimate. but we are keeping good relationship with these Internet giant especially in blockchain standard。
Q7: How its going with cross chain fix? any news?
Jeff: We already fixed part of the cross chain internally. while we really have a lot of threads to follow, especially for the upcoming CCC which includes at least 8 different threads. So the cross chain function is a little slow.
Q8: BSN integrated algo, solana. any chance for pchain integration this year?
Jeff: We were invited to attend the BSN ecosystem meetup in last week.
Q9: I think he mean when Pi joint BSN network, can you share it?
Jeff: Sorry. We have NDA.
Q10: When will mobile wallet released?
Jeff: Around October, 2020.
Q11: Hello Jeff, after the start of your collaboration with DCEP, how many new companies have become that want to launch their CCC? China is on the path of global digitalization, according to your plans, how many transactions and end users will pchain be able to process by 2023, when most of the CCC will already be launched and what are the prospects?
Jeff: Yes. We got more and more requirement on CCC. On the path of global digitalization, I believe DCEP will take very very important role in future. And that’s why we decided to take DCEP as an important infrastructure of PCHAIN 2.0.
Q12: Are there any plans to spread word and be visible again in wilder crypto community & press as currently there is nothing outside this community?
Jeff: Yes. We believe there will be more news outside this community.
Q13: Something you would like to say even if we don’t ask.
Jeff: Thanks for your great support from our great community. PCHAIN cann’t become success without your great support and encourage as always.

2020.09.17 11:06 haloblossom India's regional foreign policy needs a massive shift

The recent string of events at the LAC involving China is quite alarming and I feel like a lot of Indians are waking up to how aggressive China is and I believe there is more waking up that needs to happen. The Chinese think in a very different way and they have a very different way of life. For them laws don't mean much and they get what they want purely through brute force and muscle power. And up until now a lot of their victims are smaller nations who can't really stand up to them and protect their interests by standing up to their firepower. India is an exception to this. We have the firepower and military means to stand ground, although the numbers may not be in our favour and they may have greater edge in terms of technology and sheer tenacity to break rules and be brutal without regard for agreements or protocols.
I don't think that we are going to be able to hold on to our sovereignty and territorial integrity just by being on the defensive and just defending our borders and doing so purely with military defences. It is necessary and we can hold our ground for a while. But really, as a long term solution, we have to be more proactive in the region and take the route of a combination of diplomacy and military intervention rather than a purely military intervention. We have to assume a stronger role in the region.
We are not the only victims of Chinese expansionist aggression in the region. Taiwan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal, Tibet, Vietnam and plenty more are victims as well. But we are the only power in the region that has the size and values to stand against China and make it step back. But we can neither do it by ourselves, nor do we need to.
Here's a list of things that I believe we need to do:-
  1. Gather a coalition of nations against Chinese aggression. Let's form a strong body that involves nations that are the direct victim of Chinese expansionist aggression and also those nations who stand against this approach by China. We have to take advantage of the fact that China has a great number of enemies.
  2. Put a strict end to all bilateral ties with China until China honours a list of our requests (step back from occupying our territories, refrain from making claims on Arunachal Pradesh etc)
  3. Once we make them understand our list of demands, do not entertain ANY ties with them, be it trade or otherwise. We need to show them that we see this as really important.
  4. We also must not sign any more treaties or agreements with them unless they begin to honour the agreements that we have signed so far. They seem to care nothing for the agreements they sign.
  5. We need to isolate China both in terms of trade and also militarily. We need to work together with the military of our allies within this new coalition so that we stay strong as a coalition and thwart any moves from China.
  6. We have to do everything necessary to show China that it's dreams of being a superpower cannot happen through military aggression, but it may happen through smart diplomacy and through trust. I do believe that it would do us good to have China as a partner and as a strong counter to US. But not while China is unreliable and does not recognise the rule of law.
  7. Our policy on Tibet has to change. It's a shame that we still go by our agreement with China and honour its interest in fighting against any activist movement within our country that rallies for a free Tibet. It's shameful enough that we signed such an agreement and we enforce it within our borders when China has no regards for our interests. We must actively and officially rally for a free Tibet and regain access to tourist places in Tibet that are of interest to Indian citizens without the Chinese getting in the way. We have to free Tibet and also actively support the freeing of Hong Kong.
Bottom line is that India cannot be a defensive sitting duck that cares only about its own borders. We have to rise up as a strong regional power that other smaller nations find as a shield against unfair treatment from China or anyone else. We have the power to play this role, but we have to assume it. No one is going to hand it to us. We have to proactively lead and assume the larger responsibilities to govern in the interest of everyone.
I would like to hear others' thoughts on this.

2020.09.17 03:19 AngelofDeath2020 Would the ongoing Pinoy BL trend continue or not?

[Fair warning: Please, if you can not appreciate this topic, leave us alone. I only posted it here so I can get the reactions of some LGBT-allies and those who can 'appreciate' this kind of topic. Thank you.]
Sawatdi. As you may have known, the BL trend has reached our shores thanks to IdeaFirst Co.'s Gameboys and Black Sheep's Hello Stranger and a few others notably, by Ride or Die's Quaranthings: The Series, AsterisK Digital Entertainment's My Extraordinary, and Globe Studios' #\Gaya sa Pelikula, and many, many more. Funny though, it was only in 2018 that I discovered KrisSingto from GMMTV's SOTUS and SOTUS S The Series & the original 2 Moons and, Together with me. Back in those days, I was a bit excited and shocked that Asians had gone this far. For all I know, these kind of stories are only featured either on Netflix or on Western TV shows.
Boys' Love was originally from Japan as in the form of manga and less frequently in mainstream media like anime. It also has its fanbase in Taiwan and China [\well, sort of, guess the Great WALL (not well, sry for the typo) isn't working well enough for Fundanshi/Fujoshis :))) fight me..] BL, in my personal knowledge, also its origin from its more erotic and sensual cousin, the Yaoi genre. Typically, yaoi is more pronounced in mangas and rarely in animes. Its main theme usually focuses on tragedy, humor, BDSM, erotic gay fantasies and yes, rape. Bara is yaoi's more, more erotic cousin, usually hairy, very muscular men akin to beefcakes are featured. Strangely, its target audience are teenage girls from Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, China and yes, even the United States. Had to admit though, the Yaoi/BL genre is a bit sensual and erotic at best. Examples include Water Boyy The Series from Thailand (though I did not finished it) and Banana Fish (2018) bananafish -- as the Yaoi/BL is also not limited to erotic/sensual themes, it also has a more affectionate, albeit platonic side, akin to bromance on another level.
As with the discussion mentioned above, I was a bit shocked when these things suddenly erupted in Youtube. Nagulat ako! As a Filipino discreet gay guy, I was shocked. There is this certain level of fear and ostracization that I might get, even in the Alter world for supporting this in the context of these things appearing in the Philippine media setting. I was also EXCITED. I was more comfortable viewing Japanese/Thai even western medias depicting these kind of relationships and commenting on them on social media as the fans were more open and less irrational pertaining to their views of morality, etc.
Up to this day, I am still skeptical if this wave would continue or would just disappear once the restrictive lockdowns disappear. I am really curious if these things would continue. The view of most Filipinos to LGBTs on mainstream media are more on the entertainment value, and not on the issues that really surround most of us like discrimination, ostracization and failing to keep moralistic traditions like marriage and reproductive babymaking like rabbits. Pinoy gay men are often less valued especially on our own abilities. These discriminations are more pronounced in conservative workplaces (and sometimes in the liberal ones) and we are often tagged as weak or ridiculed for our preferences, or stereotyped. This is in contrast with straight men/women whose stories have been told countless times in Teleseryes and classic Pinoy novels and even PHPrecious Heart Romances novels with recurring themes like endless ligawan, kabitan, agawan, palitan ng anak, diaries, endless 'last will testament' changes, and bida/kontrabida stories. Never was there a legit acknowledgement of LGBT stories or BL themed stories and gay men are always included as an 'joyful parlorista character siding with the bida' in the story. Gay men are not often depicted in a good light. One example is GMA Network's Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko in 2018 were it won UPLB Isko’t Iska's Most Gender Transformative Program and nominated in the 33rd PMPC for Best Daytime TV show. Yes the story is quite extraordinary, imagine a transsexual trying to be your partner who was later revealed as your wife's ex-husband. Great story with a lot of sabunatan - agawan themes with the wife of the ex-husband now playing as the kontrabida/trans wife. Lack of imagination I guess, I am not well impressed on this. Or is it GMA Network's doing, pushing its own conservative-moralistic and often times bigoted agenda? Meron pa, I remember some stories featured in Kapuso MO Jessica Soho with gay men marrying lesbian women to become 'legit' families or the endless features of those stories in Mel Tiangco's Magpakailanman.

COME ON PEOPLE, FEATURE GAY MEN PARTNERING WITH GAY MEN.

As I support all kinds and types of love across our lovely rainbow, I'm afraid GMA 7 is pushing too much of its subtle intervention to convert gay men to 'married' gay men with lesbian women. Though it is a choice for some, featuring stories like these are a bit narrow and a true attack on the diverseness of the LGBT realm. Please feature true lesbian and gay couples not lesbian + gay couples or gay + lesbian couples.
I am really rooting for more representation on this matter. Like Pinoy BL being a real mainstream with real Zoom/Mall shows in the near future. Let's face it, Philippines really like to hide behind its moralistic view on the universe, most especially to our Christian tradition handed down by our former colonizers. I am hoping for the better. Taiwan, as you and I know is the first Asian country to make Same sex marriages legal.
Surprisingly, Thailand, Vietnam and even Japan are also making the similar moves in the near future. Enjoying this subgenre should be something be thought of enjoying love without borders instead of imposing other religious beliefs and/or moralistic approach to one's own point of view. After all, love is love. there should be freedom on who should be we love. Love should not be something on which what society favors you to love or what your peers are pressuring you on loving. Bakit, sila ba ikaw para sila ang mamili ng mamahilin mo? Kontento na ako sa buhay ko at hindi naman ako ganun kadesperado to be teased with someone. Sila ba, masaya ba sa buhay nila? Ask them. Sila ata desperado magka-syota.

REALLY FUNNY THOUGH, SAME-SEX MARRIAGE IS LEGAL in SPAIN, and the UNITED STATES.

EVEN THE JEWS in ISRAEL's KNESSET are now on the way of making it LEGAL, so WHAT IS STOPPING US? THE VATICAN?

2020.09.15 21:21 kjonesatjaagnet Fintech can help women entrepreneurs thrive through COVID-19

Fintech can help women entrepreneurs thrive through COVID-19

Image source: Photo by RF._.studio from Pexels
Businesses all over the world have taken a hit due to COVID-19 followed by lockdown and social distancing. While some sectors like logistics, ed-tech, pharmaceutical and consumer goods are thriving, most other businesses need to prepare to deal with the long-term economic impact coronavirus will leave on their businesses.
Due to COVID-19, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) World Economic Outlook projects GDP will fall to negative 6 per cent for five of the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. The Asian Development Bank forecasts ASEAN GDP growth to be just 1 per cent in 2020.
While entrepreneurs faced many difficulties in raising money and establishing a sense of trust among the customers, it was especially difficult for women entrepreneurs. The struggle to be taken seriously was a reality for them. And this pandemic has added to their difficulties.
What problems do women face during COVID-19?
The year 2020 marks 25 years of the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, which was once declared as the most progressive blueprint for advancing women’s rights. Despite the years that have passed since, this continues to be far from reality for many working women, especially women entrepreneurs, who have had to deal with significant changes in their lifestyles in the wake of the pandemic, both personally and professionally.
Women face lots of challenges trying to balance work with the increased household responsibilities, including childcare due to school closures. Women bear an unequal share of unpaid care responsibilities, which have increased due to the pandemic. Across the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries, women are also spending two hours more per day on unpaid work at home than men, post COVID-19 pandemic.
Often women operate businesses with lower levels of capitalization and are more reliant on self-financing. Consequently, a decrease in revenue due to the COVID-19 crisis has immediate implications for entrepreneurs’ incomes and their ability to finance their cost of living. Women entrepreneurs may be at greater risk of having to close for prolonged periods, with substantially reduced or no revenue.
Women’s entrepreneurship in developing countries is at a greater risk, as women’s anticipated vulnerability through the COVID-19 crisis will likely be exacerbated. The exposure to health risks due to inadequate or underdeveloped health-care infrastructure is of immediate concern.
What can be done?
A major problem women entrepreneurs face is accessing finance for their businesses. A new model of lending that is faster, easier, more cost-effective and more transparent is being offered by Fintech lenders for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
This is done by using advanced analytics platforms and artificial intelligence to assess transactional and alternative data, FinTech lenders are gaining a much deeper understanding of SMEs. They can establish the businesses' creditworthiness, evaluate risk more easily, and issue loans in as little as 24 hours. FinTech lenders are setting up payments infrastructure to facilitate easy payments and sales for SMEs and micro-entrepreneurs, and using such channels to provide them with loans based on payments data.
Transferring all the existing entrepreneurship training and mentoring to online channels. Business advice and consultancy services can also be given to women entrepreneurs on a digital platform. This can include advising women on how to stabilise businesses that are in difficulty and to help them take their business from offline-to-online (o-2-o).
Fintech start-ups are leveraging innovative payment technologies such as sound waves to provide contactless payments services for customers with legacy phones or in areas with slow/no internet coverage. This is especially useful for women entrepreneurs in rural areas.
Going digital helps women entrepreneurs gain customer confidence because this promotes hygienic transactions through contactless transactions. Fintech also makes it easier to track digital transactions. History of transfers, inflow, and disbursements are easily available on their mobile phones.
Fintech can also help entrepreneurs develop an effective strategy in making a profit by providing rich customer insight. Their transaction logs will indicate consumer patterns so they can know which product is in demand, how much more they can earn, and even the demographics of their target customers.
How’s fintech helping to level up?
Xin’An Bank, UNCDF partner association under the i3 Program funded by MetLife Foundation, has launched an AI-based product named as ‘Goddess AI’ in China. This app processes small amounts of loans to women entrepreneurs in under 24 hours.
CaixaBank and the international organisation Vital Voices, whose mission is to support and invest in women leaders across the globe, have created a virtual mentoring platform to help women entrepreneurs and founders of SMEs and start-ups across Europe, who are currently facing professional challenges due to COVID-19.

2020.09.15 21:04 MightyCasey Bob Woodward Deep Throat Reporter Or Deep State Spy?

📷
To many, Bob Woodward is a hero, the epitome of good journalism, a man who built his career on revealing the corruption of a villainous President, leading to that pPresident’s resignation.
Because of the work of Woodward and his colleague, Carl Bernstein, the Watergate sScandal became a lexicon of American political culture and Woodward was lionized by his portrayal by handsome American movie star, Robert Redford in the movie based on Woodward and Bernstein’s book, “All The President’s Men."
Since Watergate, Woodward has used access to people in power, to cover several administrations:, both Bushes, Obama,’s and now, Donald Trump’s.
Once again Woodward has positioned himself as the journalistic hero, taking on the corrupt leader and his inept underlings in his recently published book on the Trump administration, “Rage”
.
In 2018, Donald Trump attacked the messenger, suggesting that Woodward was a "Democratic operative" after Woodward’s book “Fear” painted Trump in a bad light. Still Trump would talk with Woodward for his new book, at the behest of Senator Lindsey Graham, according to Tucker Carlson. Carlson would suggest that, Graham set up the interview in part to sabotage Trump. Why would Republican Graham want to sabotage Trump? Perhaps the lines go deeper than political parties.
Trump after getting wind that Woodward’s book would paint him in a bad light would Tweet.
📷
This has caused new controversy as recordings have emerged of Trump saying of the COVID Virus threat in January, that he wanted to “Play it down.” From one of over seventeen interviews Woodward had with the President.
“The Bob Woodward book will be a FAKE, as always, just as many of the others have been. But, believe it or not, lately I’ve been getting lots of GREAT books!”
While describing Woodward’s books as “fake” may seem typical of Trump’s ant-,media attacks, Woodward’s books and career as a whole have had a distinct political agenda. Still, Trump’s 2108 tweet that Woodward as a Democratic operative is a laughable assertion. Woodward had unprecedented access to former President Ronald Reagan’s campaign manager and CIA Director, William Casey, as well great access to the Bush administration —and even helping them cover up the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame. Woodward also exposed Chinese agents who sought to affect the 1996 presidential Election through donations to the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
A few right- wing websites have picked up on an email that Clinton advisor, Sidney Blumenthal, former advisor to President Bill Clinton, wrote to Hillary Clinton in 2012 regarding Woodward as proof that he was an FBIWoodward is an operative. In the email regarding Woodward, Blumenthal would write, "I am told that these Woodward sources were FBI. Since Deep Throat, he has been an FBI asset, his career dependent."
Blumenthal himself was a journalist turned political operative for the Clintons. He was a man with a lot of political access himself, having worked with Woodward at The Washington Post, as well as The New Republic and The New Yorker.
The wording of the email is troubling. There is nothing wrong with a journalist having sources in politics, the intelligence community, or law enforcement. Blumenthal, a colleague of Woodward, referred to him Woodward as an “asset” for the FBI, a relationship he has based his career on.
In an ideal world, the job of a political journalist is to work for the people to keep the government in check, to keep the people informed of the good work as well as bad work and corruption.
When journalists become “assets” for government organizations, rather than objective observers and reporters, they run the risk of becoming propagandists, who cover up the corruption of the organizations they work for and are to be used as tools to persecute their enemies of said organization.
📷
(Bob Woodward and Tom Brokaw at the garage where Woodward allegedly met “Deep Throat”)
Blumenthal may be partially right in saying that Woodward’s career was dependent on the FBI. In 2005 Woodward would reveal that his infamous Deep Throat anonymous source during the Watergate scandal, “Deep Throat,” was in fact Mark Felt, the number three man in the FBI below after it’s director and founder J. Edgar Hoover, and his alleged homosexual lover Associate Director Clyde Tolson, whom Felt served under.
Felt was a loyalist to Hoover and supported the bugging of Martin Luther King and the FBI’s infamous COINTELPRO program that would illegally surveil, infiltrate, and disrupt Black Power, civil rights, anti-war, and anti-government groups. Felt would be convicted of illegally ordering the burglaries of houses of friends and family members of the anti-war saboteur group, The Weather Underground, only to later be pardoned by Ronald Reagan.
It is ironic that the man credited for exposing the illegal burglary and bugging of Watergate was also complicit in burglary and bugging himself, making it seem as if his case against Nixon was more politically based than morally.
Still for some it is unclear if Felt was “Deep Throat” or the only Deep Throat. In a 1979 interview with Playboy Magazine, the Washington Post reporter would deny that Deep Throat was from the “intelligence community” of which Felt was a part of.
Woodward had described Deep Throat as a chain-smoking, hard-drinking (favoring Scotch) intellectual combat veteran. Felt had never served in the army, and was not a known drinker or smoker. CNN, ABC, and the Washington Post had previously speculated that it was CIA agent Corde Meyer, who in fact was Deep Throat, and Meyer fits Woodward’s description as a combat veteran and sScotch drinker.
So was Woodward lying when he said Deep Throat was a combat veteran,? Perhaps to throw people off his source?. He surely was lying when he denied that Deep Throat wasn’t a part of the “intelligence community.”
Perhaps Deep Throat was not one but several sources from the intelligence community who provided the necessary information to Woodward, and the Scotch drinking combat veteran was used to throw off people looking for the real Deep Throat. Regardless, if it was Meyer or Felt or both, elements from the intelligence community helped Woodward make a name for himself as and become a hero high- profile journalist, and a hero trusted by the nation.
Woodward’s road to a journalism career was not typical. Despite the fact that his father was a federal Judge, Woodward attended Yale on a Naval Reserve Officers Training Corp (NROTC) scholarship, eventually following in his father’s path to the Navy. Yale has historically been a breeding ground for the CIA, and while Woodward was not a member of in the Yale’s famous secret society, hotbed of CIA recruitment, Skull And Bones, a hotbed of CIA recruitment, he was a member of another secret society, Book And Snake, which counts former George H.W. Bush’s former CIA Director, Porter Goss as a member.
After serving five years in the Navy, during which according to the 1991 book “Silent Coup,” by Len Colodny, during five years in Navy, Woodward worked closely with the Nixon White House as a Naval Communication Officer, briefing, General Alexander Haig, who was assistant to National Security Advisor, Henry Kissinger and would go on to be Nixon’s Chief of Staff, and then secretary Of State for Ronald Reagan.
📷
While Woodward would admit to having a Top Secret Crypto Security Clearance, when Colodny asked Woodward if he ever briefed Haig, he replied, “I defy you to produce somebody who says I did the briefing. It's just, it's not true."
Colodny would in fact produce three sources who said that Woodward did the brief Aig, including, The Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair, Thomas H. Moorer, and Pentagon Spokesperson, Jerry Friedheim.
Despite having no journalistic experience to speak of, Woodward would land a trial job at the Washington Post for two weeks and would be sent to the Post WaPo’s farm team, the Montgomery County Sentinel, before joining The Post full- time. One year into his career in journalism, and he was breaking the biggest storycase in American journalism history, revealing creating the scandal that all other scandals would be named after, Watergate, with the help of an anonymous source known as “Deep Throat,” whose true identity that would become one of American history’s biggest unsolved mysteries, Deep Throat.
Still, Woodward would be a good fit at the Post. Woodward’s boss, Executive Editor, Ben Bradlee, was also an Ivy League Navy Veteran, who went to Harvard, and, like Woodward, served in the NROTC (Navy ROTC). In World War II, Bradlee served in the Office Of Naval Intelligence as a communications officer, the same title held by his protege.
Bradlee still had more experience qualifications to be in journalism than Woodward. Working as a reporter After World War II In Paris, Bradlee would work as the Press Attache at the American Embassy In Paris, later working with the Office of U.S. Information and Educational Exchange producing propaganda films and material for the CIA, according to author Deborah Davis. In a memo in 1952, Bradlee is said to be on assignment from Robert Thayer, the head of the CIA in Paris, to inspect the file of accused spies Ethel and Julius Rosenberg for communist propaganda and was attempting to contact CIA Director, Allen Dulles.
📷
(Ben Bradlee and Bob Woodward)
Dulles was not the only head of the CIA that Bradlee would have a relationship with. Bradlee was childhood friends with Richard Helms, who was Director Of The CIA from 1966-1973. Bradlee would also develop a close relationship with Corde Meyer, a high ranking CIA official, who was his brother- in- law.
After Bradlee’s sister- in- law, Cord Meyer’s wife, Mary, who was alleged to be having an an affair with President John F. Kennedy, was murdered, shortly after JFK himself was killed, Bradlee would give her diary to James Jesus Angleton, head of CIA counterintelligence another high ranking CIA officer.
According to Davis, Bradlee’s boss, Washington Post Publisher Philip Graham, also worked with CIA agent Frank Wisner to create Operation Mockingbird, putting Woodward under the direct command of two men with ties to the Intelligence Community and who worked on with a CIA propaganda campaigns.
Meyer was the principal operative in the CIA’s “Operation Mockingbird,” the CIA’s covert plan to use figures in the foreign and domestic media to gather intelligence and spread propaganda. Ironically it would be Woodward’s partner, Carl Bernstein, who would expose the program Operation Mockingbird to the public via a Rolling Stone article. While Woodward was not named, his mentor Bill Bradlee and Post colleague Walter Pincus are listed as one the journalists who would willingly promote the views of the CIA as was Woodward’s colleague at The Post, Walter Pincus.
Since Watergate, Woodward has continued to build a career through his access to military and intelligence officials. In 1987, After writing a book about deceased actor and comedian John Belushi, Woodward wrote his next book in 1987, was “Veil: The Secret Wars Of The CIA.” Once again, Woodward would rely on his connections to the iIntelligence Community, interviewing CIA Director Bill Casey over 40 times.
📷
With “Veil” Woodward once again had the chance to expose a huge scandal that once again went all the way to the White House, covering the CIA and its role in Nicaragua, during the Iran Contra period . Still the book offered no real insight into the growing scandal and lets the CIA and Reagan/Bush administration off easily. The bombshell in the book from Woodward was that on his deathbed, Bill Casey, admitted that he knew of the diversion of funds from the arms sale to Iran.
The problem is that both Casey’s wife and Kevin Shipp, a member of Casey’s CIA security detail at Georgetown University hospital, have denied the fact that Woodward was by Casey’s deathbed to get his bombshell confession. Shipp claims that Woodward was denied entry to Casey’s hospital room and that Casey was unable to speak at the time.
This begs the question:, why would Woodward lie? If, in fact, Woodward was an asset of the intelligence community, why would he throw the Director of the CIA under the bus? By placing the blame on Casey, whom he paints in the book as a noble cold warrior, Woodward essentially let’s, Casey’s higher ups, Vice President George Bush and President Ronald Reagan, off the hook.
We can see more of Woodward’s alliances from the people he lets off the hook than the people than by the people he persecutes. Although George H.W. Bush was the former Director Of The CIA, and has been implicated by many ais being one of the chief architects of Iran Contra, there was barely a mention of him in his book on the CIA’s Secret Wars during the years Bush was Vice President,
When asked why Bush was left out of his book, Woodward would reply, “Bush was, well, I don’t think he was — what was it he said at the time? ‘I was out of the loop’?” If Woodward would have taken the same attitude towards Nixon, he would’ve left the investigation alone after Nixon said “I Am Not A Crook.”
In placing the blame on Casey and taking Bush for his word without doing any investigation into the Vice President, Woodward’s book, released in the election year of 1988, in which Bush was running for President. Being implicated in a big scandal such as Iran Contra would have greatly hurt his chances during the election. In 1988, Rolling Stone would publish an article that highlighted Bush’s ties to Iran Contra, focusing on Bush’s relationship with former CIA agent, Felix Rodriguez, which was ignored by Woodward.
Later documents including Bush’s personal diary would show that Bush was indeed very much in the loop on Iran Contra, attending meetings, working with Israeli Intelligence, coordinating with Honduran leaders to get help from the Contras. So with Casey’s admission and Bush’s omission from Woodward’s book, Woodward, he gave the Bush administration a dead fall guy for the Iran Contra scandal and let Bush off the hook.
Woodward would continue to help out the Bush family in the 2000s. In the lead ups to the Iraq War, Woodward was asked by CNN’s Larry King about the George W. Bush administration’s claims that there were Weapons Of Mass Destruction (WMD) in Iraq. by CNN’s Larry King Hand responded that the probability of no WMDs in Iraq was “About zero, there’s too much there.
As a journalistic hero, Woodward’s claims of WMD’s would give credence to the case for the war in Iraq, and he would be rewarded with more access to President George W Bush than any other journalist. Woodward would write a total of four books on the George W Bush administration, all of them dealing with wars and foreign policy. One of his books, “Plan oOf Attack '' was listed on the Bush/Cheney 2004 reelection campaign list of recommended reading.
When CIA agent Valerie Plame was outed by Woodward’s colleague, Robert Novak of the Washington Post, Woodward would once again be caught in the crosshairs of the journalism and intelligence worlds. The outing of Plame was seen as politically motivated, as her husband Joseph Wilson had just written an article critical of the Bush administration’s claims that Saddam Hussein was seeking uranium from Niger to make a nuclear bomb.
Woodward would wind up testifying for Vice President Dick Cheney’s Chief Of Staff “Scooter” Libby as a defense witness in support of Libby. In the trial he would claim that it was not Libby who disclosed the identity of Plame to him, but Richard Armitage, the Deputy Secretary oOf State under Bush.
Armitage is yet another CIA connection for Woodward. Having worked in covert operations with the Operation Phoenix assassination squad squad in Vietnam, with notorious CIA officer Ted Shackley, Armitage has long been alleged to have strong ties to the CIA. During the 1988 presidential campaign, Former Presidential cCandidate Ross Perot, would press George H.W. Bush about holding Armitage —, who was the assistant secretary of defense for international security affairs, under Reagan, — accountable for drugs and weapons dealing, during the 1988 election after Burmese opium warlord Khun Sah told Army Special Forces officer James "Bo” Gritz, that Armitage was heavily involved in the international drug trade, using the proceeds of opium to fund anti-communist insurgencies in Southeast Asia.
Other people involved in the opium smuggling operation, according to Khun Sa, were Ted Shackley, who was the Deputy Director Of Covert operations for the CIA when George H.W. Bush was dDirector, and Santo Trafficante, the notorious Florida mafia boss.
Armitage was also involved in the Iran Contra scandal, and although Bush 41 wanted him as Secretary Of the Army, Armitage would withdraw rather than face congressional grilling on his role in the plan to sell weapons to Iran to fund anti-communist insurgents in Central America. A quite dubious figure in the world of covert operations and Deep Politics, while not in the CIA, Armitage is a prime figure in the so-called Deep State.
For his book “Bush At War,” Woodward had a great deal of access to Richard Armitage, who he would promote in the book along with his boss, Colin Powell, and CIA Director, George Tenet. Tenet would provide Woodward with yet another quotable line by saying that there was a “slam dunk” case for WMDs in Iraq. Woodward, in fact echoed this statement on Larry King, saying there was a 0% chance of no WMDs in Iraq. Still, By placing the WMD blame on Tenet and diverting it from George H.W. Bush, Woodward had once again let President Bush off the hook.
According to Larry King, another CIA source for Woodward was Stansfield Turner. King would ask Woodward if he worked for Naval Intelligence, which he would denied.y, King then and then followed up, asking him if ever did anything for the CIA, which he again denied again before back-tracking, saying that he wrote in his book that someone in the CIA once provided a question to him for an interview with Mumar Qadaffi.
On his own website, Woodward has a quote from Robert Gates, former CIA Director under George W. Bush and Defense Secretary Under Obama, saying " "I would have really liked to recruit him for the CIA because he has an extraordinary ability to get otherwise responsible adults to spill [their] guts to him.” When Politico’s Mike Allen suggested that Gates was a source for Woodward, Gates replied, "I would say very, very little and very reluctantly. I talked to (Woodward) at the end of the Bush administration for his book on Bush” and that he would take precautions, but I think uniquely asked for the questions in advance and had a written record made of what was said and a witness in the room, no deathbed confessions from me.”
Allen then would refer to Gates as “the only person in the world who knows that Bob Woodward was not CIA,” hinting at long time rumors that Woodward was involved with the agency, which provided a laugh from Gates.
Woodward’s access to to former and current CIA agents and directors continues to this day, as He claimed claimed that John Brennan, CIA Director under Obama, had said that the infamous Christopher Steele Russia Dossier, — which claimed among other things that Russian agents were in possession of a videotape in with of Trump in a Moscow hotel room in 2013 within which prostitutes who pissed on a bed Obama slept on, and were using it to blackmail him — “was in line with their own sources [at CIA], in which he had great confidence.
So Bob Woodward, if anything is a man with many sources in the CIA. As a man who covers the iIntelligence Community it would seem fitting to do so. Still as a journalist, one must be careful that one's sources do not use you to use you to spread misinformation.
At a Harvard dinner, Woodward’s old colleague, Carl Bernstein would claim that the release of Valerie Plame’s identity was a "calculated leak.” Woodward would reply, “I know a lot about this, and you’re wrong.”
Later at the dinner when Woodward was asked if his readers should worry that he was being manipulated, he would reply, “I think you should worry. I mean, I worry.”
📷
(Woodward and Bernstein)
Those statements would echo ones he made in a Playboy Interview in 1979:, when he said.
“But let me just say that this suggestion that we were being used by the intelligence community was of concern to us at the time and afterward. When somebody first wrote the article saying about me, "Wait a minute; this is somebody in an intelligence agency who doesn't like Nixon and is trying to get him out," I took that seriously.
The CIA is an agency with professional covert manipulators who try to alter events by deceiving people and directing them, running them like an intelligence agent. I have revisited this question of disinformation — I'd rather not go into how it was done — but I've satisfied myself and others that that was not the case.”
And yes, we should worry that Woodward and other journalists are being manipulated by their sources, especially those in the intelligence community who, as Woodward pointed out, have a history of using and manipulating journalists to mislead the public for their political gain. The problem with Woodward is not that he has sources in the intelligence community, but that he refuses to challenge that community.
When asked by a caller on the Larry King Show if he had found any evidence of cocaine trafficking funding the Contra efforts, Woodward would say “I have asked about it, and in fact asked Casey about it, and he denied it, and others have denied it. I don’t have a final answer on that. But no evidence at this point.”
Perhaps both Trump and Blumenthal are wrong in their assertions, that Woodward was a “democratic operative” or an “FBI asset.” Woodward and Bernstein were famously known as the “Republican and the Radical” (Woodward being the Republican) and Woodward would accuse the Obama administration of trying to intimidate him.
Blumenthal’s statement to Hillary Clinton, that Woodward was an FBI asset, doesn’t seem to be a fitting description. If Woodward is telling the full truth about Mark Felt being Deep Throat, that would fall in line with Blumenthal’s assertion that Woodward was an FBI asset. Still Woodward’s career has been based mostly on foreign policy and not domestic, and FBI sources would only get him so far in the world of foreign policy.
The terms “asset” or “operative” may not be fitting terms for Woodward, but he clearly has been a friend of the Intelligence Community, the CIA in particular. Has Woodward been at times manipulated by his sources, or perhaps it was a cooperative effort? By spreading “calculated leaks” Woodward has done the bidding of the intelligence community.
The job of a journalist in politics is to work for the people to keep the government in check. It appears Woodward has not always done this, at times working with the government to keep the people in check, uninformed or misinformed. It seems that Woodward may in fact owe his career to the Deep State and not Deep Throat.

2020.09.15 09:33 CoperMcCopington The TRUTH About JBW - Why White SMV Is Highest

The TRUE Definition of JBW

I've been seeing a lot of push-back and hate against JBW. First of all - something has to be understood. JBW has evolved from it's literal meaning of "just be white" to get any girl (which was NEVER accurate nor what I believe anyone intended it to theorize) to mean more something along the lines of "just be white" to get some girls, and for others it's a huge looks/status halo, and at the least it's not a drawback like some races are. THAT is the most accurate representation of JBW.

Why Does JBW Receive So Much Push-Back?

Now, we have to understand that there is a lot of push-back against this theory BECAUSE people think they can influence how the world sees their race based off of TV, movie, and most importantly (in the case of incels on Reddit/Twittewebforums), social media. There's a reason why /JustBeWhite got banned while several subreddits of other races of men are still up. There's a reason why many white male x ethnic female porn subreddits have also gone down. You may think this is approaching conspiracy theory level, but seriously, just google search "aznidentity" and see the kind of organized shit these people get up to. Guaranteed, there will be MANY, in particular, Asian incels that reply to this post - I want you to click their profile and see what kind of coping subreddits they visit - all sorts of shit about Asians cucking whites (LOL), BBC shit, anything to denigrate who they deem the enemy.
I used to find this particularly annoying. However, after sitting back and actually thinking about it - it's a genuine non-factor. These people are not making any influence or make any head-way into the perceived SMV of their race. And I'm going to list all the research papers and statistics that prove why.

SMV, Not Just PSL

This post will be going over white male SMV - not just PSL. Reminder that SMV stands for Sexual Market Value. SMV is determined by a myriad of things, including looks/facial structure, height, frame, voice, and social status.

Caucasoid Skulls

The FIRST and most important thing to realize when it comes to whites, who are part of the "caucasoid" skull structure that INCLUDES Arabs and Jews (so yes, if you are Arab/Middle Eastern/North African then you benefit from this part of this post as well - and this is also why JBW isn't as pronounced in these areas, as everyone here is already caucasoid), is that the caucasoid skull is objectively the most attractive one when it comes to men.
First, let's read description of a caucasoid skull:
"Caucasoid traits were recognised as: thin nasal aperture ("nose narrow"), a small mouth, facial angle of 100°–90°, and orthognathism, [...] such as prominent supraorbital ridges and a sharp nasal sill."
I will highlight the important details in each of these descriptions.
Let's look at mongoloid skulls:
"The Mongoloid skull shows a round head shape with a medium-width nasal aperture, rounded orbital margins, massive cheekbones, weak or absent canine fossae, moderate prognathism, absent brow ridges, simple cranial sutures, prominent zygomatic bones, broad, flat, tented nasal root, short nasal spine, shovel-shaped upper incisor teeth (scooped out behind), straight nasal profile, moderately wide palate shape, arched sagittal contour, wide facial breadth and a flatter face."
And Negroids:
"skulls as having a broad and round nasal cavity; no dam or nasal sill; Quonset hut-shaped nasal bones; notable facial projection in the jaw and mouth area (prognathism); a rectangular-shaped palate; a square or rectangular eye orbit shape; a large interorbital distance; a more undulating supraorbital ridge; and large teeth." -
First: Brow ridges.
Why is this relevant for male attractiveness?
We all know that a brow ridge is male-dimorphic trait. We also know that it is a sign of both pubertal AND prenatal testosterone levels - and that THIS IS REFLECTED IN THE FACE. We also know that "facial masculinity has been proposed as an honest signal of genetic quality".
So, right off the bat, something that is almost ubiquitous in caucasoid skulls - a prominent brow ridge - is something that is considered attractive and sexually dimorphic - aka masculine - is found lesser so in negroid skulls and almost nonexistent in Asians - ALMOST non-existent - because the top Asian male models are the ones that actually have brow ridges: Godfrey Gao (also note his facial hair),Brian Tee, and so on. Now, on the other hand, look at a K-Pop model and you understand why so many communities, Asian and non-Asian, bash them as feminine in apperance - they don't fit in the the ideals of maculinity ANYWHERE in the world (and Asian incels will cope by saying it's WESTERN masculinity ideals - no - it's scientifically backed perceived notions of facial masculinization, as Asians CAN have prominent brow ridges, as I showed, and they are perceived as more attractive, it's just EXTREMELY uncommon).
The presence of a brow ridge is also the only way to have bone-given hunter eyes - meaning ACTUAL hunter eyes in Asians is almost non existent, (note that I said almost, again), because it would require them to have both a lack of monolids AND a brow ridge - and at that point I'd suspect that they may not be completely Eastern Asian.
Also, remember that the brow ridge is mostly determined by how deep-set the eyes are, especially in caucasoids.
Next is prognathism - something that is most common in the negroid skull, and semi-common in the mongoloid skull, and least common in the caucasoid skull.
We all know that facial attractiveness is about harmony and the over-development of the lower jaw would never be considered attractive. As I said before, skull shapes can vary - and I'm sure someone will point out the Habsburg bloodline saying that "it's a white trait too!11!!1!!"
Too bad data shows that the genes for prognathism show up in about 1% of Caucasians, but 15% of Asians.
I cannot find data for its prevalence amongst negroid skulls - but I'd assume it's even higher.
Orthognathism was highlighted as a trait of caucasoid skulls, as I highlighted earlier. This entails the straightness of the jaw and even implies the gonial angle is straighter - and thus more square.
Next: Maxilla/forward growth.
Highlighted were the parts that showed how prevalent a flat face is in Mongoloid faces. It's not as prevalent in Negroids and Caucasoids. We all know by now that maxillas that are flat are unattractive. Here is a study proving that. You can see the results in table 2.
More on Caucasoid vs Mongoloid vs Negroid Skulls
Not all of what Mongoloid skulls have is bad - but what's bad is VERY bad. Huge failos that caucasoid skulls just don't have. The worst thing about caucasoid skulls is the smaller mouths and even smaller lips. Mongoloid and negroid skulls both lack in nasal bridge, which is a masculine trait. Thick nasal bases/nostrils are also a masculine trait - caucasoids and mongoloid skulls typically lack this, but it is frequently found in negroid skulls. Mongoloid male noses retain neoteny and lack dimorphism. Mongoloid faces have smaller midfaces on average, which is definitely a plus - but it's because they also have shorter mandibles, which is a negative. This means, yet again, less forward growth, in particular with chin project (recessed chins is slightly more common in Asians, though square jaws are slightly more common). The upper and lower lips were more protrusive in Chinese as well - breaking facial harmony. The same study found that Caucasoid faces had more convex profiles - signalling, yet again, improved forward growth. Mongoloid faces frequently have prominent cheek bones (as cited in the Mongoloid skull section) - but these are not cheek bones that create the smooth lines and hollowed cheeks that are necessary for utmost dimorphism and attractiveness. These are prominent, lower, rounded cheek bones - what's necessary for attractiveness is high/sharp cheekbones and thin cheeks.
Overall, as has been said, there are exceptions found in skull types and formations among the different races. These are all going off means, off of averages. Don't forget that the scientists who developed this classing system could correctly identify where a person was born with a 95% accuracy rating just by looking at their skulls. Skulls DO vary greatly among different races, and they do have different features, some good, and some bad. However, looking at the data, you can see that physical beauty heavily prefers the caucasoid skull.

Height/Frame

The top 10 tallest countries in the world are all... white. This is where non-white caucasoids fall behjind. Note that these studies for these heights include ALL men of ALL ages - even including immigrants and refugees from nutrient starved poverty countries. Comparing the average height of white men to any other country is ludicrous - they're just that much taller. The only country that can compete in Asia is South Korea - and that's cherrypicking. Not to mention the studies for male height in South Korea only include those of military age men - wherein, as I said before, that list of top 10 countries includes ALL male height, regardless of age. And it's known that each new generation of men is taller than the last.
There is a height halo among blacks due to basketball, obviously, but the reality is that the average African's height is very low, not even coming close to European standards. However, there are some small tribes that are tall (like the Dinka Sudanese tribe, for instance) - but the reality is that the average height for this tribe is only 5'9" with some EXTREME outliers. Based off my observations, African DNA has something that allows for higher rates of outliers - meaning the tall are very tall, but everyone else is actually pretty short - while European DNA makes everyone, on average, pretty damn tall.
As for frame - whites have been found to have the larger upper bodies than blacks while blacks have longer legs and pelvic regions. Larger upper body is a sign of more testosterone, both pubertal and prenatal. It's a sign of sexual dimorphism as well. Asian males were found to have longer torsos than whites of the same height, but significantly smaller chests and bideltoids than whites. Note that this study used French and Spaniards for Europeans, so I'd assume the results would be even greater in white favor if they used NW Europeans or even NE Europeans. Also, as a side note, this study also proved that white women were more curvy (better hip to waist ratios) than asian women.

Social Status

White social status is obvious. Europeans have controlled, in some way or another, every country on the planet. No other race can say that. You could say that Thailand and Japan both were never "technically" colonized by whites - but Japan doesn't even have a military since WW2 and everyone knows that they're basically a US military base as a whole, and as for Thailand - well, their national beverage is white male sperm - that's a given.
A lot of people cope with white social status by going on about white cucks and so on. Normies have no idea what this shit is about. Normies in NON-WESTERN countries ESPECIALLY have no idea what this is about. Furthermore, the prevalence and pushing for of white cuckoldry, I've noticed, is largely done by ethnics and Asian men. I know a lot of people like to pretend that it's white dudes who are into this fetish - but it's really not. I've gotten into disagreements with JBA (just be Asian) copers on here and they always end up linking me their favorite cuck porn sites. It's pathetic, lmao. No statistical data on this, just something I've noticed. Even if it is largely consumed by whites, it doesn't effect white male social value nearly the same level that all the white male models, white male hollywood actors, and so on positively influence white male SMV.
Not to mention wealth, which is largely owned by caucasoids, then mongoloids, and least of all negroids. This obviously plays a role in partner selection. Whites own a lot of wealth, but the other 2 members of caucasoids obviously own a lot too.

The Overall Halo of Being White

All of this adds up to the overall halo of being white. It's not that being white can get you any girl - it's that being white is a huge looks halo, a sexual market value halo, and so on. It's just an added benefit. The extent of its benefit also depends on where you are in the world. China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, Myanmar, and other parts of East and South East Asia would give, lets say, 2.5 points on the ten scale. Some of these just being white is literally enough, but not all, like Japan or Taiwan. Then let's say, Korea, Colombia, Brazil, Morocco, and Mongolia. Being white is a huge plus, but not usually enough alone to get a girl. Let's say it adds 1.5 points. Get the idea? Obviously not set in stone.
Now, understand something here. An ethnic chad will outslay a white basement dwelling incel, obviously. Especially if that "ethnic chad" isn't actually ethnic, but just a brown caucasoid. Brown caucasoids are the only real group close to white caucasoids in terms of SMV, but they miss out on light eyes and the halo/high class look of white skin and height.
What does this mean for white incels? Some countries you can net a girl just by being white. Some will cope and say these are low class countries - but the reality is that there are some seriously hot women in countries where just being white is literally enough. For other countries, some looksmaxxing may be in order to be successful there - or maybe you just won't be successful at all because you can't meet the threshold to slay there.

Other Racial Groups' SMV

Beyond whites, which get an SMV boost everywhere, what kind of boost you get depends on what your ethnicity is. For some groups, it's boosted in certain countries, for others, it's lowered in certain countries.
However, looking at averages, this is how I'd put the list:
  1. Whites (including Hispanic whites)
  2. Arab/Persian Caucasoids (MENA, Iran, parts of Pakistan/India (VERY SELECTIVE, and probably not you if you're Indian), etc)
  3. Non-Northern Caucasoid Africans
  4. Negroid Africans (These two are really hard, because they both have advantages)
  5. East Asian Mongoloids
  6. Non-white Hispanics
  7. South East Asian Mongoloids
  8. South Indians
I didn't include native/aboriginals because of how mixed these groups have become with their white colonizers.

End Note

Overall, you can see the impact of race on the global sexual market place. You cannot deny that a global sexual market place exists, and naturally there would be a race on top of it. This is not to say that whites are superior, or anything like that - just that, by existence of a global sexual marketplace, there would have to be a race that sits on top - and it just so happens to fall on whites.
There is more to be said about this, but I am running out of space and time. Maybe I'll continue more about Caucasoid vs Negroid vs Mongoloid skulls later on down the road. However, my next post will be about the TRUTH behind COLORING - and why light features are a HUGE looks halo, especially when combined with dark features in certain ways (light eyes/skin with dark haibrows/lashes, etc).
Denying white halo is complete and utter cope.

Touting U.S. investment in the region and support for the COVID-19 response of the Association of the Southeast Asian Nations, Pompeo said Washington will speak out in the face of China's "Threats to sovereign nations' ability to make free choices."
"We stand with our ASEAN partners as we insist on the rule of law and respect for sovereignty in the South China Sea, where Beijing has pursued aggressive campaigns of coercion and environmental devastation," Pompeo said in a statement released during a summit of top ASEAN diplomats held online this week and hosted by Vietnam.
On Thursday, Pompeo had urged Southeast Asian countries to reconsider business deals with the 24 Chinese companies that Washington sanctioned last month for their roles in constructing Beijing's artificial islands in the South China Sea.
On Wednesday, Foreign Minister Wang Yi called the U.S. the "Biggest driver of militarization of the South China Sea," Chinese media reported.
"The United States is becoming the most dangerous factor damaging peace in the South China Sea," Wang said at the East Asia Summit Foreign Ministers' Meeting.
