38 [M4F] French Polynesia/Somewhere - Swiss-French sailor, entrepreneur and world traveler looking to share his life online then IRL

2020.09.28 18:51 juliusmagadan 38 [M4F] French Polynesia/Somewhere - Swiss-French sailor, entrepreneur and world traveler looking to share his life online then IRL

Hi !
I have 38yo, I am both Swiss and French, was a successful entrepreneur in Switzerland. But one day I choose to realize my childhood dream to sail the world. I sold my company, buy my boat without knowing sailing and 6 months after I was crossing the Atlantic Ocean alone 😄
Until French Polynesia, where I am living now in my sailing vessel.
I am looking for a genuine relationship, with a deep emotional and intellectual connection. I was goth in my 20’s and still have some sequel of that time 😄 I am mostly introvert, but not shy, and can sometimes be extrovert too, as I love to travel, meet random people. I am very interested into immersion travel. Don’t expect an Instragram influencer 😄 I like to go deep inside the culture, learn the language of the country (I speak French, English, brasilian Portuguese, Spanish (well sometimes I mistake with Portuguese 🧐) and I was learning Russian).
I am little bit geeky and definitely silly 😜 I love deep and passionate speakings about many subjects : science, history, anthropology, religion and spirituality, Geopolitics, astronomy, artificial intelligence, arts, fashion, and definitely music ! If you can catch me 4 hour speaking about your passion, you will probably win me for ever 😄
What I am looking for ?
A silly girl ! I love crazy people. I don’t mind if you are introvert or extrovert, I can connect and enjoy with both :) At least if you are extrovert, you should like to have a time to time introvert guy ! For sure you need to love have a crazy life : sailing the world, building crazy projects, don’t be afraid to be against the current, like freedom in mind and space. Physically I don’t have a type, but I need to connect physically too. For that my pic is on my profile !
I like to take my half by the hand and bring her in an amazing life full of adventure, discovering, making crazy dreams coming true as I also like to be taken by hand and you bring me into your world.
I am most looking for someone complementary. Sure with a strong connection ! But I am not looking for a woman-gendered me 😄 I am more into the acceptance of difference because i always wonder to be surprised!
I also can like bratty girls 😄 welcome brats, i am not afraid 😉 I like women with personality, and wild tigers 🐅
I am an angel by day, but a demon by night. I am the perfect gender for your mom and your dad will love me. But you have to don’t be afraid to have a monster hidden in a box. I am into the D/s dynamic since 1 year, and exploring that new world.
In a relationship I like to care, support, protect, respect and admire the woman I love. I am naturally mentoring. I am a fairly guy, good listener, empathetic, sensitive and not afraid about it. I will be your shoulder for crying and never let you fall down. I have an huge experience life, humanity, world cultures, and I like to explore myself. I know a lot about psychology. I solved most of my issues, and I am not afraid if you have ones. I would most probably understand you and support you in your way.
And to finish, I believe in love for life, as it have to be a work more than a passion. Respect, admiration, communication, connection. I am ready for it with the right partner, I would like to be married and build a family. I am ready to be engaged and not afraid of it.
If some parts of my ad was resonating with you, dm me ! Show me who you are, your passions, dreams, kinks, your weird secret side 😄 Even just a Hi 👋 is enough if you are shy, and I will manage the speaking. Send a pic is a plus !
See you !
Julian

2020.08.22 07:18 RowingIRE Finding a place to rent in Porto or Lisboa - rental websites?

oi gente! Irish guy here with some portugese I picked up from my brasilian partner over the last 7years and a number of visits to Brasil. I would like to continue to learn until I'm fluent and of course would ideally like to do so in a country of native speakers. (I know it can be very different from Br Pt)
I'm desperate to leave Ireland after 30+ years living here. I can work remotely for probably the next 5 months or so, and am pretty much open to taking a career break (or any type of long term time off) from my job in order to live somewhere new.
I have visited Lisboa before but not Porto. I love Portugues.

Just wondering what websites do you find best for finding an apartment (or room) to rent in Portugal? Anything else to bear in mind when trying to apply for a place? I'm open to sharing an apartment (i.e. have a room to myself in a shared apt/house) to more money, I'm hoping to do it all very cheaply at least at first. I can live outside the city (but still within driving distance) no problem, my job is remote now.
Thanks a mill for any info

2020.08.06 15:28 AgogeProject What can coaching do for you?

If you’re anything like me, then you grew up with a variety of teachers, guides, mentors and coaches. Personally growing up, besides the teachers I had at school, I had teachers at music school teaching me the instruments I used to play, mainly piano followed by saxophone followed by percussion and drums. I then joined the local orchestra where I was mentored by the senior musicians as well as the conductor.
Besides my distinctively average music career which ranged from the ages of 8 through to 17 I played a variety of sports. I played basketball and golf when I was younger, both of which involved a coach, coaching and regular training sessions. Later in life I took up thai boxing, rugby and Brasilian Jui Juitsu which also involved regular training with coaches.
This was complemented by lecturers, mentors and other academics at university and later by bosses, mentors, buddies, senior colleagues and coaches in the work place and officers and senior NCOs in the military.
When reading those last three paragraphs, it sounds like I’ve received a hell of a lot of coaching in almost every area of my life. That’s not to mention parents, siblings, extended family, friends and partners.
However, until a few years ago, if you’d asked me if I needed a coach or wanted a coach, although amiable to the idea of having a coach, I did not see the value in paying for a coach.
Especially when prices can range to infinity when you consider what people like Tony Robbins charge for a weekend seminar.
Yet, I’ve been on this journey, which you can read about here, over the last decade in becoming the best human I can be. I’ve made a lot of progress on my own without a formal coach. I’m very proud of my achievements and am thankful for the support network of friends and family I’ve had around me as well as any informal coaching that I received during this time.
Then I decided that in order to really progress in my olympic lifts (the snatch and clean and jerk) I should hire a coach who can help me by looking out for where I can improve and pushing me harder. I immediately saw improvements in my lifts beyond what I saw when training without a coach.
Further to this I had a goal in the new year to get back into golf and to get back towards the 10 Hcp I used to play off and in fact exceed this and break 80 consistently (about 7 Hcp). I took two actions towards achieving this goal. Firstly, I started taking lessons again from a golf professional for the first time in 10 years and secondly, I joined a golf club as a member.
I had already self-diagnosed the issue I had with my swing by filming myself and with the many books I’ve read on the mechanics of the golf swing as well as from my own experience of playing golf for many years at a 10 Hcp which isn’t amazing but isn’t bad either. Within just a couple of lessons with a coach, I saw huge improvements and started hitting the ball better than I had in years. I knew what I was doing wrong and also knew the perscribed methods of fixing it. It was however having that external person standing there and giving me feedback on every swing and holding me accountable for practicing and working on the drills, even when he wasn’t there watching that advanced me beyond what I was achieving on my own.
The next step was my professional life. I’ve been seeing success in the business environment since working on my mindset and striving to improve and learn everyday. I’ve been reading a book a week for the last 3 years and although I still have far to go, I knew what I needed to do. However since I’d been seeing success in both my lifts and my golf due to coaching, I went ahead and hired a business coach.
Just like with my golf and my olympic lifts, having a business coach elevated me up another level. By having a coach with whom I could be honest and share my issues I was able to get a fresh perspective on how to achieve my goals and am held accountable for implementing what I say I’m going to do and taking daily action towards my goals.
I’m not here to say that everyone needs a coach. There are plenty of examples of people achieving success without a coach.
What I can say is that I’ve managed to push through blocks and hit higher levels faster with a coach. And that my coaches also have coaches. And their coaches have coaches.
Coaches are valuable because they hold you accountable and help you push yourself towards the highest of your ability. Being able to talk about your wins and loses with an external impartial source who can the give you guidance is extremely powerful.
Furthermore I get pushed out of my comfort zone by my coaches. And this is where growth happens. I know what I need to do in most cases. The issue is that it’s oftentimes something I don’t necessarily want to do. And this for me is the real value of coaching. I make a commitment to implement a certain action or work on a certain thing. And if I don’t do it. Then i’m wasting my time, I’m wasting my coaches time and I’m wasting the money I spent on a coach in the first place.
And this brings me on to money. Money is a great motivator for many. It’s strange. We all seek free advice. However, when we receive it, we don’t value it and oftentimes just ignore it and don’t implement it. Well guess what. Advice is only useful if you take action. And for a lot of people, they only take action if there’s something on the line. For some, this could be a last hope and they’ll do anything to make it work. For others, if they paid a lot of money for something. If they stretched themselves, then they want to get the value for it.
This is how coaching works. Coaching is an investment in yourself. And you are worth it. You deserve to spend both time and money on yourself. Because unless you manage to fill your own cup first, you won’t be able to share and help and empower others. So work on yourself so you can then be complete and help others.

2020.06.30 12:55 HommoFroggy Analysis on Ac Milan's upcoming transfer window.

I will try to make a thorough analysis on our upcoming transfer window, scenarios and targets. First of all the analysis will take into consideration that next season our coach is gonna be Ralf Rangnick and his preferred formation is the 4-2-2-2. I will not extend my self about his tactical approach to the game considering that there have been multiple posts in this sub about this aspect. In short Rangnick presses with his front 4 with the more advanced CM being in charge of either pressing or screening, while the DM alongside the 2 CBs are in charge of anticipating the opposition if they get out of the high press. Offensively he likes to play a direct style of football with high risk balls into dangerous areas, the 2 more traditional side midfielders playing more centrally and the fullbacks giving depth in the wide areas.
- I will start this analysis with the players whom seem not to be in the plans for next season and those who are loaned out from Milan with an option or obligation to buy to consider approximately the add on's to the budget of 80-100 mil reported to be appointed to Rangnick. NOTICE: ALL EVALUATIONS ARE LOWBALLED FOR ARGUMENTS SAKE.
1) Musachio, Laxalt, R.Rodriguez, Calabria, Reina which don't seem to be in the plans for next season whom are valuated something in the 30 mil range according to "transfermarkt". Milan would release 9 mil off salaries pre tax or something like 13 mil post tax.
2) Andre Silva, Suso, Caldara whom are on loan with an obligation or option to buy in other teams and their buy out clauses combined would gather us 65 mil. But it has to be considered that all 3 are loaned till the end of the 2020-2021 season so it isn't a certainty for their respective clubs to trigger the buy out clauses or options. BUT there is a good argument to make considering that teams will have FFP leisure's this window.
3) Players whom have to be valuated by the coach or can be sacrificed to make budged for other key signings whom are: Conti, Paqueta, Kessie and Krunic whom are valued at around 60 mil.
4) The particular situation of Ibrahimovic.

- Secondly i will valuate the players whom could be hard to depart for a reason or an other and some players whom COULD potentially be hard to part ways with:
1) Reina: 37 year old on his last year of contract with 3 mil x season contract.
2) Musachio: considering his contract ends and he is on a 2 mil per season contract while being injured for 4 months. But considering that his replacement has been found at Kjaer whom would cost us 3.5 mil, most likely we could find a potential buyer in Spain or England whom would pay for him more then the cost of Kjaer.
3) Rodrigez for the same reasons as above but on his case i am very sure that as a Swiss international he would ask for more playing time elsewhere to became ready for the Europeans.

- Noticing the positions that need priority for next season and some others whom can depend on the valuation of the above players. The positions that need interference are: CB, DM and CF. Plus in this section i have to add that making permanent the loans of Kjaer and Saelmeakers is very important considering their wages and transfer cost, to add to that the experience that Kjaer has brought while the Belg covers up multiple positions on the pitch(RB, RM and also RCM).
1) Considering that we need a long term partner for Romagnoli CB is mandatory at this point.
2) Rangnick uses a "Casemiroish" style of DM on his 2 man midfield whom can brake up play.
3) Our only natural CF at this moment is Ibrahumovic who's situation isn't known and also it is mandatory to have someone younger to lead our lines.
Options for every position that we need plus my opinion:
1) If Rangnick wants a young CB who's gonna be a started till day 1 or minimize the time to adapt, he has to look at young CBs whom play in Italy. The 2 realistic options in Serie A as far as young CBs go are Milenkovic or Kumbulla whom both would cost around 30 mil. If we would consider CBs outside of Italy whom would take not to much time to adapt the options would be more expensive, players like Upamecano, Konate, Zagadou would cost more then 50 mil. OPINION: considering the cost, time to adapt and the procurator of Milenkovic in my opinion he is the best option available.
2) DM: As far as DM goes there are only to realistic options whom are Bakayoko and Florentino Luiz. Both players would cost something in the lines of 30 mil give or take. Where Bakayokos salary would be something in the lines of 3 or 3.5 mil while having proved him self at that role with Milan and has showed support and disponibility to the colors, his impact would be next to immediate. Florentino looks like an exciting prospect but with minimal minutes on the first flight of Portuguese football which is something of a gamble league on its self. Also he would want way less money then Bakayoko and also could became even better then the French. OPINION: Personally i think that building a solid backline with next to immediate impact is very important considering how Serie A works, it would leave more time for the front side to find their mechanisms and gel. A backline of Bakayoko, Milenkovic and Romagnoli would be a very strong one since day one which is very important doing forward into the season while giving a strong mentality to the players whom would need more time to adapt.
3) The options for a CF are somewhat limited. We have been linked with Jovic whom has had a hard year with Real Madrid and has a very high salary and would cost something in the lines of 50 mil. An other option would be Depay who seems certain to part ways with Lyon whom has suffered a long injury but whom has an wining mentality as a player, his salary is along the lines of what we are willing to give and he would cost around 25 mil. A shout out from me would be the PSV striker Malen who is a very talented player with big room to grow but who would cost around 50 mil as well. OPINION: If Jovic is willing to work hard, lower his salary and recover him self, Milans ambient would be the best especially when he knows Rebic as well. Considering the good relations between Real and Milan and the soft spot Perez has for Milan, i can realistically see us getting him on a 2 year loan for something like 10-15 mil with a buy out option or obligation under certain situations.

- Valuations, uncertainties and their replacement options:
1) RB: Considering Conti has shown great improvement lately, realistically Rangnick can valuate him and also considering that from a market point of view Conti would be sold for less money then his replacement. Dumfries could be his replacement whom would cost around 15-20 mil. We can make the discussion about him being very good in the league and not that good outside of it, so in UCL, UEL and with the National Side but his physical attributes are second to none while having the right professional mindset. Considering that both Sealmaekers and Kalulu can play backup at this position.
2) LB depth. In a situation where Rodriguez leaves the option of Antonee Robinson with whom we nearly closed the deal in January would be a very good back up option. The guy has been great with Wigan and he is very similar to Theo. Milan were reported to sign him for something like 6 mil in January.
3) CDM and CM depth: Considering if we have to sacrifice Paqueta or Kessie and even the valuation of Ragnick on them or even their say into the matter, we can see them be back ups to the main CDM and Bennacer. But realistically speaking i can see them both or one of them sacrificed and be replaced with some young talents or some experienced backups whom wold cost few money and also low agree on a low salary. Personally i like Puig from Barca very much whom hasn't found much space and is rumored to leave.
4) LM depth. Both Leao and Rebic can play as LM but not the way like Rangnick likes his LM to interpret the role. A sub Hakan is needed and also someone who's gonna grow to fit the role even better and be someone for the future. Dominik Szoboszlai is the one who Rangnick really wants and he would be a great signing considering that he brings a different approach to the role from Hakan in the way that Rangnick wants. Te Hungarian would cost Milan around 22-25 mil. Also an option would be Boga from Sassuolo whom is a similar profile but younger and would cost around the same amount of money.
5) Ibra replacement: In a situation where Ibra leaves Milan would need a backup striker to the main striker. Milan could go in 2 routes at this situation bring an experienced striker or someone else again young with similar physical attributes to Ibra. In the second route an idea could be Adolfo Gaich. OPINION: Personally i would prefer Ibra to stay and help the team and especially Jovic to grow as a professional and a player.
6) MAYBE depth or a starting RM cause of Saelmeakers. Castillejo is a very Rangnick style of player, works very hard, plays very centrally and is good at braking out opponents attack. Maybe a different profile to him like the contrast the one between Hakan and Domenik would interest the new coach, or even someone with a higher ceiling. OPINION: Personally if i had to chose someone like Odegaard would be the PERFECT fit. He is very active in high presses and also is the complete package with immense room to grow. OFC the downside would be his salary which is 4 mil at Real, his willingness to leave Real even if his position is covered atm and the competition is fierce between him and the 3 young Brasilians Real has. The fee to sign him would also be a problem considering that he would cost around 40-50 mil.

VERDICT: Except the mandatory signings of a CB, DM and CF the rest of the market is gonna depend on the players whom are gonna leave. In a perfect scenario we would have around 200 mil to spend on this market, considering the budget and also if all the players whom are expected to leave alongside with the loaned out players. A budget whom could reform the team in a better shape in both short term and long term. The salaries ofc that are gonna drop from last year especially with the Beckham law in action even if we sign players like Bakayoko or Jovic. OPINION: Finding a way for the team to have a quasi immediate impact in the 2020-21 season and have big growth room for the 2021-22 season go hand in hand, cause it gives the right mind set to the players.

Hope this was a good read, Thanks

2020.06.25 21:54 Rox_In_Socks Hello Brasil! I am a US graduate student looking to learn about the negotiations culture in Brasil.

Hi everyone! I am currently obtaining my graduate degree and am taking a negotiations course. I am working on a project to compare Brazilian negotiation culture to that of the US. I have done some research and found some interesting differences, like:
- Brasilian society believes that hierarchy should be respected and inequalities amongst people are acceptable. The different distribution of power justifies the fact that power holders have more benefits than the less powerful in society. In Brazil it is important to show respect to the elderly (and children take care for their elderly parents). This is different than the US, where (sadly) very few people take care of or really respects their elders and there power in an organization is more evenly distributed, meaning we might send a mid-level employee to an important negotiation.
- Leveraging relationships is an important element when negotiation in Brazil. Nevertheless, Brazilians often employ distributive and contingency bargaining. While the buyer is in a superior position, both sides in a business deal own the responsibility to reach agreement. They expect long-term commitments from their business partners and will focus mostly on long-term benefits. The primary negotiation style is competitive and Brazilians can be very aggressive negotiators. Americans can also be quite aggressive negotiators, but the US is much less long-term oriented. We tend to negotiate contracts on a short term (3-5 year) basis and not think much of the relationship again until it is time to re-negotiation the contract.
... and lots of other information! What I'm really looking for, however, is less academic studies and more of what you as a Brasilian see as important when negotiating. If there is any insight that you would like to share, I would greatly appreciate it.

2019.06.25 14:20 PowerBrainShop #cleanworld challenge launched by Novarum Sky and artificial intelligence provider PowerBrain.Shop®

#cleanworld challenge launched by Novarum Sky and artificial intelligence provider PowerBrain.Shop®
Next-generation Artificial Intelligence software developer PowerBrain.Shop® and Drone solution provider Novarum Sky announced launch of #cleanworld challenge
Eindhoven, June 25, 2019 /PowerBrainShop/, São Paulo, June 25, 2019 /Novarum Sky/
The Drone solution provider Novarum Sky and their artificial intelligence (AI) technology partner PowerBrain.Shop® announced a joint initiative aimed at driving the development and application of environmental protection solutions – leveraging the latest AI and Drone technologies.
Inspired by their passion for the Fridays for Future (#fridaysforfuture) movement and the Trashtag challenge (#trashtag) the Brasilian CEO of Novarum Sky, Mr João Marcelo Correa and German CEO and Chairman of the Board of PowerBrain.Shop®, Mr. Samuel Thomas Staehle, would like to invite the public to assist in developing the next generation of artificially intelligent cleaning technology solutions - to help protect our environment.
Today at the DRONE SHOW, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, we announced the #cleanworld challenge. It is aimed at tackling the pollution of our planet, with emphasis on the detection and removal of trash from our oceans, forests, rivers, parks and deserts. Everyone is invited, and can easily help by recording and submitting video data from their smart phones, cameras, drones and even robots, to show plastics and other unwanted trash.
This video data will then be collated and automatically analysed by our AI PowerBrains™, helping them to learn and improve the autonomous trash detection with drones and robots. Our objective is to proactively detect and remove trash automatically at any location in our environment. Such videos also enable additional technologies to be developed, for example: Environmental pollution monitoring and possibly even underwater robotic cleaning solutions.
All videos should be tagged with the hashtag #cleanworld and uploaded to public video sharing services.
The #cleanworld challenge also demonstrates to political and public decision makers that there is infrastructure technology available today which can help keep cities, parks, forests, lakes and rivers clean; even in hard-to-reach locations and powered by pollution free clean energy.
"As environmental protectionists, we want to make our world a better place. We can do this by embracing the latest artificial intelligent technologies and help build environmental cleaning solutions" says Samuel T. Staehle, founder and CEO of PowerBrain.Shop®.
"Novarum Sky's latest Drone solutions significantly benefit from using the capabilities added by the portable AI PowerBrains™ from PowerBrain.Shop® for in-flight trash detection in real time video data. From our perspective the combination of these technologies is a major milestone for the automation of environment protection." says João Marcelo Correa, founder of Novarum Sky.
All #cleanworld challenge related details can be found at PowerBrain.Shop and its YouTube channel.

2019.05.24 19:08 Snicktor 26 [M4F] Ohio/USA Looking for something real.

Hello there to anyone reading this post. I do hope you take the time to read this mess that will hopefully give you a slight insight into who I am.
I am Latino of Brasilian descent, i am 6'1", mocha colored, big beard and big build, living in Ohio( greatest worse state.). I am a fan of all things nerd, particularly d&d, gaming, Anime/Manga, history and cooking, but i truly love it all. I recently started getting back into reading again, so if you have any great book series recommendations let me know, bonus for fantasy but i love any genre really. If you're down id love to play some games i have pc only =/.
I have been single for a long time now and have been missing companionship and have been posting to reddit over the past couple months in hopes i can find some one who shares my interests. I grew up in a baptist christian home, and although it has had a huge influence on my life and who i am today, i don't consider myself to be religious. I'm open minded, very curious and love getting to know weird and interesting people. I have a hard time opening up to people, i just don't like to talk about myself that much, bad habit, I'd rather as you 20 random questions spanning from; What would you do if you woke up one day and had superpowers? or What would you rather fight a coked out grizzly bear or a silver back gorilla with 3 arms? Opening up to someone and being vulnerable about my real feelings has always been hard but i am looking for that someone who i can just be completely free with, that best friend who is your everything, that partner in crime, the one you pledge your life to...well that's the hope at least :).
Looking for someone 21-30 although age isn't that important i'd like someone around my age.
PS. I should mention I do drink socially and I am also 420 friendly.
I think that should do for an introduction don't you? If not message me and ask me anything you want i shall answer.

2018.10.06 16:50 flaming_jazzfire 5 DAYS TO LAUNCH! Featuring Frogmind!

5 DAYS TO LAUNCH! Featuring Frogmind!
Badland Brawl is excited to be able to be played by millions of players around the world with Global Launch, in just 5 days!
Since December 2017, players in a small handful of countries have been slinging, smashing, stomping, and bombing their way to victory to win eggs, gems, and reputation as a new wave of Badlanders has come forward!

DAY 3: Today's Feature is Frogmind and their employees!
In hype for Badland Brawl's release, employee Noemi has shared some fun facts and random trivia that everyone can get to know about Frogmind's team behind the scenes while making the game! We hope you enjoy!

Frogmind Employee Jari
Based in Helsinki Finland, Frogmind is a company started by Johannes Vuorinen and Juhana Myllys, started with a concept for an amazing game called Badland. When it first started, it was just the two of them with a dream to create an amazing game. Their initial thoughts were:
"We think that games should be developed by constantly thinking from the perspective of the player. The player eventually playing your game is the king. He/she is the person whose enjoyment is in the hands of your game. Thus, the end-user experience is the most important goal in our games and we want it to be flawless in BADLAND. We think we are able to achieve this as we are active gamers ourselves. We are developing BADLAND for us too. We want to enjoy it as much as you will do."
" We think that immersion is very important in games. The best games are those which really give the player the feeling that he/she is in the game world. " Thus it has been important to Frogmind to make games without ads! Have you noticed? :)

Some of The Inspiration for the Badland worlds

Now there are over 20 employees at the company! Frogmind has only grown in size and popularity with their breakout games Badland, Badland 2, and two soft launch games Badland Brawl and Rumble Stars (The only non-badland game released yet).
Their goal: "Our goal is simple: to develop and self-publish games with best possible gaming experience and high production values by small independent teams of talented game developers"

Couple of fun facts!
--The average age of employees at Frogmind is 33 years old!
--Everyone's favorite FM Noemi is the only girl on the team of 20!
--20 people at the company represent 6 different nationalities: Finnish, French, Italian, Turkish, Brasilian, and Lithuanian.
--A favorite of Frogmind employees is to do Karaoke
--On average, Frogmind employees drink 3 coffees per person per day (although strength and size varies!)
--Social Media favorite FM Victor had an interesting involvement in the company before he was hired there! Before Victor became a part of the company, he was recognized because he was one of the best players and an amazing level editor! Did you know that most of the bonus levels and most of the online levels in BADLAND 2 were created by Victor? Frogmind hired him because of his talent, and he's enjoyed it ever since! The ultimate fan's experience.
--Frogmind is an independent game studio, but did you know they're partnered with game company Supercell? You'll never see the Supercell logo in the game though. Frogmind is completely independent from Supercell and receives monetary support, advice, and networking from the company.

Don't forget to check out all of their games BADLAND, BADLAND 2, Badland Brawl, and Rumble Stars (in softlaunch in select countries)!
Last but not least, a picture of both Social media representatives, Noemi and Victor!

Noemi and Victor
See you brawling!

2017.06.20 21:13 rodika56 Confirmed: Brazil Was Aided in Takeover of Commie Flag by European Union and the Void

Snooping around various discord channels brought me to a message being spread from Brasil.
TubainaBR - Today at 8:57 PM NEWS WE BRAZILIANS WILL INFORM OUR PARTNERS VOID AND EUROPEAN UNION. WE ARE SUPPORTED IN THE DEFENSE OF THE EUROPEAN UNION THAT IS BEING ATTACKED BY TURKS USING OUR COLORS. VOID WE ARE MAKING A FLAG TO THANK THE SUPPORT, THANK YOU FOR THE ATTENTION PIXELCANVAS BR
We are left with a few options. Perhaps invade the European Union flag or the Brasilian flag being attacked by Turkey to the north? Or perhaps make a new base elsewhere. Hoping to hear where to move next.
edit: check http://pixelcanvas.io/@-143,-167 to confirm
edit 2: mistakenly said that Brasil is invading a Turkish flag. Turkey is actually attacking. Perhaps we can ally.

2016.06.21 04:08 krabapples Me [31 M] broke up with my first long term girlfriend [45/f], want to get back together, any advice appreciated

Hi, all. I'm going to try to keep this short, sorry if I ramble.
My ex-girlfriend is 10 years older than me with a 19 year child going to out of town university. We met when she was still married, I declined to date her while she was still married. I did speak to her on the phone after a family member of her's died to be a supporting friend. She got a divorce and a house and we began dating in earnest.
She is russian and i am brasilian-american. We both love books/news articles/literature. We also have different interest, she likes the opera and I like video games. But we loved each other, I'd go to the opera and every now and then she'd play a video game (ever check out a game called "Her story"? its kind of like a detective game and was very fun to play together). We would go to the movies, i bought a telescope and we would look at super moons and planets, a museum every now and then, it was normal stuff but everything with her was special.
I eventually started thinking about marrying this woman, she expressed that she didn't want kids. I didn't know if I did or not. I guess I got scared of the decision of kids being taken away from me, and scared of how much i loved her. I know that sounds like a cop out but its TERRIFYING, all of a sudden you care about someone more than yourself, you care if they are happy and fulfilled, its fun but scary, I've never had a girlfriend for longer than one or two months and this was a good two years.
Busy season at my job is a good 70-80 hours a week, and it was the holidays and i was completely stressed and unsure of kids and i figured if i had doubts i should break up, she's 45 she isn't trying to have a 'good time' and i thought she deserved a man more settled down, more...i don't know 'established'. This was way wrong, I was an idiot to try and decide 'whats best for her' even if it came out of self doubt and love, so stupid.
I really regret this. Its been six months, i think about her every day. Its incredibly hard to get past. I sent her an e-mail saying this, and complaining that i was sick. Two days later while i was home sick she came by and gave me medicine and chicken soap and we didnt talk just smiled and hugged each other until her lunch break was over.
Since then i sent a thank you email and a thank you card written in cyrrilc, I'm head over heels, ive decided kids and age dont matter, i just want to live my life by her side. I don't think she will take me back though. I texted her asking if we could talk, she said yes, but didn't answer after work and sent me a text saying she was out with friends drinking. Haven't heard anything else. she's very reserved and its her busy season now, responding to my text she said she was thinking alot about me, i know im grasping at straws here but i dont think its a stretch to think she loves me, when we broke up she said i was the best partner she ever had (she's gorgeous and has been divorced twice, i dont even want to imagine how many rich handsome men have pursued her throughout her life).
I think I've done all I can, if i keep emailing, texting and calling its desperate and bordering on stalker-ish behavior. I also have been very plain about my love for her, if she felt the same I would think she would call or email or stop by. I clean my house every other day (when im not in night school after work) on the stupid hopes that she will stop by.
Any free time at work and especially at night and in the morning i think about her, I really fucked up guys. I know people say 'plenty of fish in the sea' and all that, but me and this woman would stay up till 5 am just talking. Everything was fun with her, even the arguments. I know people might say 'you'd resent her for not having kids' but i never explored why i want them, just figured it would happen.
I guess everyone loses a long term relationship, but its particularly devastating when you are 31, I've signed up for dating apps and followed my friends' advice to 'get back on the horse' but definitely not over my love, i've been on a lot of dates and always feel like im cheating on her, and even cringed when a lady tried to kiss me.
Any advice? Just forget her? Send one last hail mary e-mail being as explicit as possible? short and to the point "DONT CARE ABOUT KIDS OR AGE. LOVE YOU NOW AND FOREVER. DONT WANT TO SPEND ANYMORE TIME AWAY FROM YOU" maybe not in caps?
TLDR: any insight, from people who have broken up and gotten back together, to people on the fence about kids to general advice about broken hearts would be really appreciated.
Thanks for letting me get this off my chest, its been six months of pain and it was kind of cathartic writing this.

2016.06.09 14:42 etrnlwait Established Brasilian streamer here. Looking for partners looking to grow their international community.

Hi all.
I'm Eternal. I currently have around 38k followers and a viewership of usually 250-300, peaking at 500... I mainly play CS:GO and my community is mostly (95%) from Brasil and I am looking to grow outside my country.
What I am looking for is people to play together, preferrably in English, so we can both grow our international communities.
Ideally I'd like you to already have a stable community too so we don't start from scratch, but that's just a plus. If you're entertaining and would like to join me for some gaming and streaming that's already a good start.
The idea is that part of my community will love hearing some english and seeing more interaction, and the ones I lose for not liking this I hope to see in new ones.
Any games of jolly cooperation would be fine by me, but I really enjoy DayZ, CS:GO and other survival games...
Just drop me a message so we can talk about this further, or leave your ideas here and we can discuss them.

2016.05.13 23:15 clive_cs Solving the "Governing Body" Problem

The best solution for an actual "governing body" for CSGO as an esport would be if it:
1) Actually only dealt with CSGO, and didn't try to be the "governing body" for the whole of esports (But it would invariably architect the blueprint and lines of communication for creating clone "governing bodies" involving mostly the similar orgs but for different games).
2) Involved as many major organizers as it could, and invited all of them, worked with all of them to join as members and assign a representative:
3) Make it so the fundamental structure of the international "Governing Body" does allow for more organizers to join as members
4) Facilitated a pool of team organizations which elect an equal amount of representatives to be members as the tournament organizers do. In this case, something like 12 team owner memberships to start, each under review to be replaced every 6 months. (this would be separate from if team owners wanted to create their own association, or if players created a player's association)
5) Let the Player's Association elect a member to represent the player's association in the "governing body" for CSGO as an esport
and lastly, but possibly most importantly and to the extent of most influence:
6) Actually was partnered with Valve, legitimately sanctioned by Valve and even had a Valve game developer as a member or liaison to the federation.

2016.04.16 10:12 cruyff8 Backroom dealing begins as Brazil awaits Rousseff impeachment vote

Summary generated by cruyff8's autosummarizer of http://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/ap15/brazil-president-impeachment-vote-dilma-rousseff-corruption:
Many wish to see the much-maligned president booted, and lawmakers on both sides of the proceedings are openly planning for life without Dilma Jonathan Watts in Brasília Friday 15 April 2016 13.01 EDT Last modified on Friday 15 April 2016 21.17 EDT Like crowds drawn to a lynching, thousands of Brasilians descended on the nation’s capital on Friday as the country’s notoriously corrupt lawmakers began an impeachment debate that looks likely to drive PresidentWith hundreds of thousands expected by the final vote on Sunday, some came to prevent what they saw as an injustice against an elected leader and an attack on democracy.Instead congressmen and lobbyists now drive past her office on the way to the two alternative centres of influence: the Jaburu, the office of Vice-President Michel Temer, who will take power if Rousseff is removed (she accused him of treachery this week); or the Royal Tulip hotel, where the former Workers party president Luis Inácio Lula da Silva is trying to rally support for his successor. Afonso Florence, the leader of Roussef’s Workers party in the House of Deputies, noted wryly that the car park outside Temer’s office is always full these days, a sign, he says, of the vice-president’s duplicity. But in the absence of a no-confidence vote in the Brazilian constitution, impeachment is now being used as a pretext for the removal of a president whose approval ratings have plunged to 10% amid the worst economic downturn for decades and revelations of systematic corruption. The impeachment campaign is being led by the House speaker, Eduardo Cunha, who is accused of taking more than $5m in kickbacks and lying to congress about secret bank accounts in Switzerland .Over the past week, the chances of Rousseff’s survival have diminished rapidly with a daily drip of defections from the ruling camp of former allies, including the Progressive party which has 47 lower house seats. The latest vote tallies in the Folha and Estado newspapers show – for the first time – that the opposition will secure the two-thirds majority in the lower house that it needs to push the impeachment process to the senate. If a simple majority of the 81 senators approves, the president is temporarily removed from office for up to 180 days until a final decision must be made with a two-thirds majority. Senator Romario Jucá told the Guardian he expects the impeachment camp to win by a margin of almost 40 seats, which would boost the Brazilian currency and stock markets and usher in a period of public spending cuts and sound fiscal management. Likely to take a prominent position in the new administration, he is also among the lawmakers under investigation by the Lava Jato probe into a vast kickback scheme that channelled billions of dollars from the state oil company Petrobras into campaign coffers of the Workers party and its former allies. He denied Workers party claims that this was a coup, noting that impeachment followed strict procedures, is supported by a majority of the public (polls have shown more than 60% of voters are in favour of removing the president), and will lead to a replacement not by a dictator but by the elected second-in-line.He argues that the penalty is disproportionate to Rousseff’s alleged wrongdoing, the curtailment of her mandate diminishes the value of elections and the PMDB – as the primary coalition partner – was also responsible for the policies and practices that led to economic recession and systematic corruption.

2015.12.30 04:29 urkiddingright999 Speaking different languages at work.

Hi. Never joined reddit before but I love lurking this forum. I've recently joined corporate starbucks. I've worked at a like 5 other liscenced starbucks' all around the world for 3 years now. I'm a traveler. I speak 3 other languages besides English. . .me and another partner in my store used to converse to one another in Spanish because we're fluent and like to speak in Spanish. No big deal. New shift two weeks ago told me and my other partner that when we speak in Spanish we take away from the customer experience because we create an uncomfortable environment for customers and other coworkers. (We really don't say anything that we wouldn't say in English...it's just senseless babble, to be honest.) So he told me that we're not allowed to speak in Spanish while working.
Pissed me off. Whatever. I don't care. I smiled and said that I never intended to take away from the customer experience.
Today a group of brasilians came in. And when I mean group...I mean two big vans full of them, there had to be at least 20+ and there was a large language barrior. I was still bitter about being yelled at for speaking Spanish at work.
Shift asks me to come better explain our drinks to the customers. (I was on customer support and had ~15 minutes left on the timer.) I proceeded to speak to the customers in English taking their order. Still a language barrier. I really wanted to speak to them in portuguese, but I wasn't going to. He asks why I'm not taking their order in portugese I told my shift I didn't want to "take away from our legendary customer experience." And he tells me to go away and that we'll talk. Brazilians are still in line. Line is getting bigger, and bigger, and bigger, because they're taking a lot of time because they don't know what they're ordering. Only like three people sorta speak english.
After they left he calls me to the back saying that I was immature and was looking to start something for no reason and that I should've been so rude. He then told me to leave an hour and a half early.
I'm so flustered. Are you kidding me?!?!? I'm not payed extra to take orders in other languages. Was my response rude? Should I have done something else?
Can I do anything about this situation?

"Your American ears won't understand, your eyes will see things that make no sense, but in the end, you'll understand."
Buona sera tutti!
Sicario is directed by one of my favorite newer directors, Denis Villeneuve (Incendies, Prisoners, Enemy, Blade Runner 2!) and written by rather greenhorn Taylor Sheridan (Sons of Anarchy). Ever since the I learned that this was Villeneuve's next film, and then added on with the cast and trailer, it had been in my most anticipated list for the year. It is clearly safe to swear by this man, his filmography expands before 2013, but with Prisoners and Enemy he swept just about everybody off their feet. You need look no further than the fact that he got offered the Blade Runner 2 helm, to prove his worth. Anything Villeneuve is good new(s)!
The film follows Emily Blunt as a hard working moral FBI Agent tasked into a special team dealing with the Mexican Border. Sicario itself stands for Hitman, so right from the start, you get a sense of what type of film this is going to be. It is easily Villeneuve's most action oriented film, even though it is technically a drama.
MAIN CAST:
Luckily, I was able to find a English screening of Sicario here in Rome! First review in a Roman cinema (Venice Film Festival aside), here we go.
As I already stated, Sicario was one of my most anticipated films of the year, and I had a great time. It was not as epic as I expected it to be, but it most certainly gets my seal of approval. Ranking from the four more known Villeneuve films, I'd go:
The PROS:
CONS:
I'm not condoning that the film shows the entirety of Mexico accurately, but when it comes to Juarez, the US government, and the overall toll of the cartel "war on drugs", it's extremely well made. If you were to see this film in a flight or drive to Mexico, it would make you reconsider. That being said, everyone who is well read or perceptive knows that Mexico is not the safest place to be. Being raised in Brasil, I can attest to the cause and effect of a drug laden country. Brasil is not as bad anymore, but I still wouldn't go telling all my friends that they can boast around the favelas with no worry. Sicario offers quite a brutal, gruesome, and intense look at the war on drugs, from exploded limbs, decapitation, headshots, government intervention, corruption, and the toll on family.
The strongest part of Sicario was the story and how it was directed. Sure it had a magnificent cast, who all did terrific, but the plot was true to the nature of the subject. Villeneuve did not stray away from showing what most expect to not see in a film. I can't specifically say one of the most intense scenes out if spoilers, but I can inform you that there are many violent scenes. Nothing made me sick or disturbed, as I myself like studying such topics, but my cousin had to leave the theater. Just in passing, there is a scene showing hanging bodies, all mutilated an naked... Just in passing, "Welcome to Juarez" says Benicio. Much like Beasts of No Nation, the film had its distinct beauty to it, regardless of the grittier vibes one Suspects. I relate it to True Detective S02, as in the long swooping arrival takes of the desolate wasteland and the immense cities. I liked it to a certain extent. By the first two or three pans, I think it is safe to say the audience understands how far away and isolated the FBI and other agents are from the US. Out here in the barren landscape their is nobody to come to your aid, you are entering the cartel land. After about 5 slow pans, I sort of got a bit annoyed (my sincere apologies to Roger Deakins). Villeneuve really impressed me with how he handled the topics of the drug war and how the cartels vs government affect the lives of others whether your innocent or corrupt. He did not shy away from leaving details or scenes out in fear of the rating he would get. Kudos!
The cast and the acting were phenomenal. You might be thinking that Emily Blunt playing morally concerned FBI agent Macer is the star, but Benicio Del Toro's Alejandro stole the film for me! Blunt's Macer is a very idealistic agent, always following the books, and very much a ball buster and tattle tale if you may. If you do not follow protocol to a tee, you will be written up in her report immediately. Her style and tactics do not fly or aid her very much when it clashes with that of the morally ambiguous and overall questionable backgrounds of Toro and Josh Brolin's Matt. Macer's partner has a small role, but a very good role I feel. I do not remember his name (Kulouya?), but he was in one of the best episodes of Black Box. He is a veteran of Iraq, as well as a lawyer turned FBI, and he questions everything done, while backing up Macer every step of the way. Blunt plays the role of a innocent well trained agent incredibly well, as she journeys further and further into the rabbit hole of how many wars are really fought, in the dark. I completely believe how her character arc evolves over time, and by the end she is a completely different character, for better or for worse... Josh Brolin has a small but pivotal part in the film. He plays an unknown government agent of unsure affiliatiation, who is leading this new anti cartel squad. He recruits Macer into the team after acknowledging how she is able to handle herself under pressure, proven by her streak of case research and on field busts in cartel oriented crimes. The little mannerisms and intonation of his voice at times are spit in and perfectly toned to the scene. Everytime he was on scene, you got a sense of humor, as well as something could happen at any time. Benicio Del Toro was by far my most favored character of the film! He is the shady individual, who you may be able to pinpoint right of the bat. Although Macer and the audience do not get a sense of what or who he is, we fully understand and appreciate that this man knows exactly what he is doing at all times, and exactly when to do so. There is not a single scene where his intensity is dulled by another element, nor taken over by another actor. I'm not going to complete confirm, but I would not be upset or surprised if her gets a supporting male nomination. His Alejandro and Blunt's Macer do not hit off on a grand note, but as the film progresses, we witness as their comradery and bond develops through their experiences. It was very much like an indirect master training his apprentice the hard way, tough love completely.
By far, this is Villeneuve's most violent film, including various action sequences and gore. As I stated my cousin left half way through unfortunately. I did not expect to see what I saw, but I'm glad that I did! You may get a slight Army of Two vibe from the plot, as well as the gun filled posters, but the film remains to be still a drama at heart. The themes of family, morals, how far you're willing to go all remain pillars to the structure of the film. Sure, we get some explosions, car shot outs, assassinations, gunfights galore, but I do not think the focus is ever on the violence. The key point of the film is how the war on drugs affects both sides. One of the characters explains how the cartel is not the only one to do the horror they do, who do you think they learned it from. That line was delivered very well, and with a lot of history behind it. I immediately thought of the Brasilian book, Brasil Nunca Mais. I highly recommend this excellent read into how Brasil at a time was trained by the CIA, specializing in torture techniques. It Follows various accounts of tortures taught, created, and done upon many individuals, in desolate houses, or even in the city itself. The Mexican cartels are not necessarily the antagonists of Sicario, and the title is the lends to the expanding plot unfolding as it progresses. There is not surfing plot twist, or revelation, but how it pans out and is set up, lays more credit to the masterful tension building that Villeneuve offers.
I always fear saying this, but I can see Villeneuve being somewhat of the next, if not disciple of David Fincher. I know they're not far in age difference, but it is impossible not to relate the intensity and dark vibes each director has. For example Prisoners and Se7en, come on! Paired with Roger Deakins once again, Villeneuve unveils yet another beautiful looking film, with excellent sound department, and story. I was surprised by Sheridan writing the plot, especially with him being only known (if known) for his role in Sons of Anarchy. Although the direction and cinematography were gorgeous, I do still stand by my gripe about the overabundance of arial pans, and close ups of the characters. By the fifth or sixth time, I think the audience understands the metaphor to how isolated they are, or how messed up their life easier at that moment. If you do not have patience, you might get irritated for the slow burn of a film. Personally, I enjoy a plot gradually unraveling and building up the tension before the inevitable explodes. A superb scene of our protagonist joining the special squad in the first entrance to Juarez is gripping and completely intense. Machine gun mounted trucks, blacked out suburbans, radio chatter, overbearing buildings, and suspicion in every character as they look out for where they could get ambushed from is spectacular. I was enthralled entirely, from start to finish.
Sicario had a True Detective S02 vibe once again, I must reiterate it for emphasis. I'm not comparing the quality (S02 being much lower then the first), but the tension building from start to finish, the barren landscape, the corruption, and the feeling that anyone can die at any moment is all there in common. You want gritty drug cartel film that is job afraid to show elements of what goes on, Sicario is one of the best films on that topic. I highly recommend going out to see Sicario if you can!
8.5/10 & BSA
